  1. K'tikathat looks down on the techpriest, again not because he thinks himself higher, but because he is in fact taller. The one with mechanical snakes and red dress stares at him, poking his shoulder with the metal snakes. Is he the healer? Nothing about his aura gives feel of honest desire to help others, though. In fact K'tikathat feels bit twitchy, ready to strike at the red dress should he attempt anything stranger. He doesn't like how touch-happy the Techpriest is. On the other hand, he is wearing a dress, maybe he is some sort of concubine? Humans had all sorts of weird tastes after all.

Then another one approaches him. K'tikathat begins to discover new feelings of uncomfortable. It wasn't threatening, but he still doesn't like it. Confusing. Why are they drawn to him? Are they reacting to his pheromones on unexpected way?

    ~~Meeting Room~~
With Astra asking about the Banquet, Narthen replied "Well, if all of you would like to follow me, we can get the banquet underway, once the Inquisitor turns up. So Hera, mind waiting for her to turn up and giving her the directions to the Hall?" The Governor then promply departed from Meeting room, content that everything couldn't go as badly wrong as the meeting went. All that meant is now he had to worry about surviving the banquet....

Meanwhile, Hera sighed with irritation at Narthen fobbing off another duty to her, then she held another coverstation over the comm-bead that the Vox-Thief revealed the contents of: "And could someone please send out the message that the banquet is on to the nobles Narthen invited?" Another, male voice replied "But surely he'd know that some of them are busy sleeping, in trade negotiations or otherwise-" only to get cut off with "If they don't turn up, I'm fairly sure the Inquisitor is the type that would burn them at the stake for that."

    ~~Hangar~~
"You don't need to know anything else, apart that things might get hairy at the banquet and so I'll need you there. Also, the van in the Lighter needs to be parked in a suitable position so that everyone else at the banquet can get their gear." Alicia replied to Ferenien, before turning to Ogedei and saying "Yes, you can borrow the Lighter. Just make sure it comes back in one piece and that the van is out of the craft before you set out." With the two conversations finished, Theanon departed just as quickly as she had arrived, heading back to the Meeting room to see if Narthen was actually getting the banquet he talked about done.
The Khan would also find that Malaya was in pristine condition, with nothing, not even some damaged paint to show for the trip to the surface of Verdan Prime.

    ~~En route to Courthouse~~
"Well, you would be a better servant of the Emperor than the Inquisitor then. I will do my best to not draw the ire of Alicia and tell you want you need, but before I have to remain in a cell...... I must send a message to my Preachers so that they don't do something stupid like start inciting the populace to riot over my incarceration." Merius said, continuing with " Also, considered that you yourself have summed up my reasons for attempting to slay the Xeno, for why should such a foul creature serve one of the Imperium's most vital institutions as an equal, when it should be purged from this galaxy that only mankind can rightfully claim as his domain?"
The Cardinal was showing a more human side to someone who actually cared about those the Inquisition accused for less than moral reasons, his voice calm enough and his presence was one of trust, to the degree that to accuse him of holding back anything would be an act of paranoia. At least the elevator had finally stopped at level 69, so the Enforcer could take his prisoner to the Courthouse, where Merius would hopefully be safe from Alicia, or anyone else that might want the Cardinal's head.

'Firebat', by unknown means, suddenly appeared inbthe office of the highest ranking purge officer. He did so silently that only when he made a slight coughing noise that he was noticed. " I was told to assist your efforts for now." His voice was mechanical and low. May even a bit hard to understand through his rebreather.

Loath as he was to give in his duty to that of a lowly Guardsman,Adept Zoran had a virtue that most of Techpriests do not...or is not considered a virtue at all.He was humble, ever ready to give in his subjective points of view and try to look at the bigger picture.A forced sense of humbleness one might add, considering that he was a lowly Techpriest that got on a death-lists of many a technocratic masters of Mechanicum.

He simply nodded, hoping Inquisitor wont find him lacking to a...penalizing degree:
"If you can Sar Mons.I admit I am no Xenobiologists...and Kroot anatomy is still...perplexing me."spoke Magos-Errant with a grin under his cowl as he closely observed the Guardsman work.

    OOC:K'tikathat-senpai!?

"Of course, you shall have your fair one call. Especially for the sake of the peace on this world. No need to entice a rebellion. As for the Alien... As far as I can see, the Inquisitor is using the Kroot to intimidate other humans, as well as in order to have an edge in case there are heretics, also Kroot are natural hunters. Those skills can be quite... Appealing to an Inquisitor. He is basically a dog to Alicia. A speaking dog. A speaking dog with a beak... Well you get the idea. And as I noted, I do not like the beast myself. Would kill it in any situation where I could disguise it as an accident or murder by the enemy. Alas. Alicia would be rather... Inquisitive about one of her subjects disappearing and she won't stop until she knows the truth. And once she would find out... There would be torture. Not even to death, always keeping one barely alive, with techniques that seem long forgotten, medicaments and such that are even used on the Angels of Death to save them. Even let you rest for a week, stitch you back together if necessary and start all over again. Even when having broken to the point of confession, there is no savior going to come for she knows. If one dies, the Omnipotent God-Emperor himself would judge your soul. And she believes that even he could forgive his subjects, where she sees only despite, and thus you may hope to die from one torture that has been done too frequent... Or never be captured alive."

His face was luckily hidden behind his Enforcer helmet, however he had to grab the Cardinal a bit... Uncomfortable again as they walked out of the Elevator to make it look believable. "I will get you your call... But you will have to make it quick once we are there, alright?" He whispered in his ear as they approached the courthouse.

  7. With the departure of the Inquisitor, the Scion would deactivate the energy feed to his lasgun, clipping it to the energy pack itself, resting underneath the dormant Grav-Chute on his back. Votum, having newly freed hands would turn to walk towards the rear of the Lighter, accessing the appropriate panel to open the Cargo Hold to inspect what he must do and plan out how he will do it.

Boots snapping together at the heel Boris stood tall and quickly fell into line behind the Governor with both hands comfortably clasped behind his back, a finger sticking out into the cuff opposite of each hand to make sure his mini-detpacks were still anchored firmly in place before carrying on with a knowing smirk.

"So tell me good Governor! What sort of stories do ye best think would be appreciated by your lot of fancy-caps around here? I've got a number of classics on hand from the scandalous to the downright hilarious and of course a ready stable of heroic charges, deaths and gruesome dismemberment. "

"Well, that sounds absolutely fabulous!", the excitable noble replied to Narthen, effortlessly keeping up his pace, and maybe intentionally or maybe not, moving up closer than her soul normally permitted. "So how many nobles are there going to be? A hundred? More? Less? How far off am I? Come to think of it, we seem to have a lot of nobles in the Imperium, but from what I read they're different in many places. So how are the traditions here? Do you have knights? Are there princesses here? Oh, do you joust? Is there jousting? We didn't have jousting. There was duelling, yes. Wrestling. And fencing. Oh, the fencing. It was fun to watch. Well, from my balcony. Mother did not trust me with blades. I did have wrestling trainers. One time, I almost broke my neck! But I got better. Could you imagine, being unable to speak? Horrible thought. I need to express myself. Some people write. But I just don't have the focus for that. I tried. It was not good. But then again, I can speak. But I don't do it too much. Conservation is key. Brevity is the soul of elegance. And all that, I am sure you have an extensive education! In fact, I would like to sit down and talk about your world sometime!"
  10. ooc: K'tikathat meets Zorans gaze with his own.

"Perplexing, Zoran-kun? Allow me show more of it then." He says and grabs the harness on left shoulder, ripping it off and completely revealing his chest, slight layer of sweat making the muscles glimmer in light. The Kroot stands half-naked within reaching distance, Techprist having detailed view to his bronzed pecs and abs. Focusing only on the chest, the xeno does not look so different from human after all. A touch would tell does they have the same texture of humans as well. /ooc.

Figuring the curious men want mostly just help, K'tikathat uncoils a bit, nodding to Sedric as response. At least the human says he is familiar with such wounds. Hopefully that is a good thing.
