Miria drew her Power Sword. A moment later the blade touched against Boris' arm, gently lowering his aim. "While I do agree the punishment for raising arms against servants of the Emperor is at least death... he does not have to die yet. He's hardly a threat after all. We can kill him later."
"Inquisitor orders it, not ye Big Sis. Do not think, just do. " His arm remained as it were having faced far graver threats to doing his duty, trigger had been pulled by this point though the moment Silvy and Lightnin' were in the way not wanting to harm them unless told otherwise.
Recognising that fistfighting and wrestling would do no good here, and generally scared by Firebat letting loose, Astra dove for the table as well, wincing at the blistering heat of her surroundings. She had previously not been bothered by the thought of violence, but this flamer business was something different.
"Heh, it hurts. Truth." K'tikathat stands still, the pain of lasbolt burning his flesh radiating around his shoulder. He knows the heat cauterizes the wound so there is no need to worry about it. But the heat will cause burn damage to cells around it, so applying cold fast would be the best course of action. Without moving his right arm he knows he has lost muscles and nerves, weakening the arm. K'tikathat observes the chaos spreading across the room, people attacking anything at this point, not aware who is own whose side anymore. So quickly they are ready to kill, so tensed they where under that mask of pretentiousness. Shouting, fighting, fleeing for ones own life. In essence all creatures, act thee same, are the same. Yet some feel the need to lift themselves above others. Among these profound thoughts K'tikathats smells his own burning flesh and admits it makes him a bit hungry. (OoC: you are welcome, guys. >:3)
Sedric turns in his chair he was about to lunge at the cardinal then seeing all the fire going torwards him he gets as far back in his chair as possible and after it goes down its very clear sedric was pissed off and he leans on one of his arms while in the chair "........ even those mutts i used to lead wouldnt act so barbarically hes one man ONE their was no need for more than one person to even try to kill that oaf he was a poor old man whose faith shined like a beacon on this planet" Sedric rubs his temple sort of getting an idea on how the "speaking and only killing when needed" would go down and he keeps rubbing his temple in frustration for the near over kill and tries to hide the fact he was so close to such hellfire it scared him at his core but after years of the front lines he has learned to hide it (Ooc fixed it @TechCaptain )
SPECTRE-77 stands down waiting for orders. His pilot light is on and its flame giving him an odd glow. This is a weapon of terror. Unleash him and all should be afraid.
As the situation in the Meeting Room promply went to the Warp, Boris would find that his laspistol shot had missed Merius, singing the wall and SPECTER would find that his burst of toxic flame missed the Cardinal, everyone else and it left another nice scorch mark on the wall. Takeshi managed to get the mad man pinned on the ground and restrained his gun hand, but being so close meant the Enforcer could literally smell that something was off about Merius, and said smell was noxious enough to make its way through a rebreather. Then again, there was also a very audible passing of wind from the not so holy man, so it was hard to tell if there was a normal yet disgusting cause or not. Ogedei would end up overshooting and sailing pass the now pinned Cardinal, colliding into the table, sliding across the table and ending up on his front, at effectively eye level to Astra, Narthen, Hera and Lady Ionria. It could have been worse. Ionria asked Astra somewhat loudly "Does every meeting that the Inquisitor come to end up like this!?" This was while Hera trying to avoid breaking down over how quickly the meeting turned into violence and Narthen complaining "I think I'll call off the banquet at this rate, and I'll do anything to keep those damned Redemptionists from getting a chance to be Cardinal again." Meanwhile, Alicia was taken aback by the Enforcer suggesting that they delayed killing Merius, both due to the outrageous presumption on his part that he knew better than she did, yet it was also a quite reasonable suggestion to follow. So the Inquisitor then said "Alright, we'll do it Takeshi's way, but if it backfires, it's solely on him, and he and Archen can get that all organised.... Anyway, Zoran, go and patch up K'tikathat. Firebat, Pierce and Ogedei, you three can get going now, there's no point to you lot hanging around doing nothing." Meanwhile, Merius tried, and failed to break free from Takeshi's grip, leaving the man to curse "EMPEROR DAMNED XENO SYMPATHISERS! YOU'LL ALL BE FOUND WANTING IN HIS LIGHT." This lead to him getting shut up by a knock out blow to the head by Archen's boot, who muttered "When will he learn to shut up when you've just committed the sort of offense that frankly, should be resolved summarily." After that, he headed off towards the offices, gesturing for Takeshi to bring the Cardinal along. Alicia also departed, to fetch one of the Scions who assigned to defend Malaya from anyone who got any ideas about taking her for a joyride or stealing the bike. (@Verticus ) @Vulpas @Shadhunter @TechCaptain @Colapse @GoreWrencha @High_Adept_Zeth @Casavay @Uriel1339 @torque @DeranVendar ~~Combat Statistics~~ (Character name: HP{Initial HP}: Status effects(If applicable to that character)) K'tikathat : 9 {10}, Alicia: 10, SPECTER 77: 10: Astra: 10, Boris: 10, Zoran: 10 Sedric: 10, Mira: 10, Takeshi: 10: Pinning Merius. Ferenien:10 Ogedei: 12, Agent 51: 12 Enemies: Merius: 2{4}: Pinned by Takeshi, KOed Battle in the Meeting Room concluded. ~~~~ Note about combat posts+ mechanics: As a general rule of thumb, I take combat posts as and when they are posted in order of each other i.e. if Casavay posted before TechCaptain, I will do Astra's action before SPECTER-77's actions. Also, I do take into account what weapon is firing at what type of armour + environmental conditions. So a roll of 13 that normally means the target gets hit is not likely to happen if the target is behind cover, using a camoline cloak and the attacker is under supressing fire. But even all positive factors for weapons, armour and environment isn't going to save you from a major screw up if anyone rolls a one (Or a 3 in Colapse and Vulpas' case.)
Storing las-pistol back out of sight within his coat's left wing strap Boris gave a content sigh that things were resolved, tense combat ready grin now a relaxed smile. "On the subject of the banquet, will there be Recaf? Could use a mug or three...also chocolate? Previous Inquisitor always denied my ration due to health concerns but I would be mightily appreciative if there was something along those lines present. " Buttoning up his coat with a few quick twists of his fingers Vostroyan moved to take a seat once more as if absolutely nothing had happened. "An Takeshi lad you should probably take a look at things from both sides aye, killing him would of probably done us more good at this point seeing as we're now a bunch of 'xeno loving heretics' I doubt he'll be calling for any to gather at our side should things go crazy aye. Just uhh, you know another view of things. " Snickering to himself he leaned back both hands clasped firmly over his stomach, not a single word for Miria threatening to disarm him earlier.
"Nescio!", Astra admitted with an insecure laugh, a High Gothic way of admitting ignorance, and slowly looking up from the table. "I think it's over." Putting her faith in this battle's over-ness, the blank climbed out of her cover and offered to help her fellow cover-seekers up - including the White Scar, even though she was pretty sure he was not intentionally in cover. "I think violence is a common result of misunderstandings, though. And this seems to be a big misunderstanding. Sad, but I hear regular cathartic exercise is good for longevity, and what's more cathartic than cracking authority-bearing skulls, am I right?"
"I will interrogate him myself. Something seems... Foul about this one. You would be a fool to not put him in the highest security prison with your best men, Archen. Be it for the sake of his attempt to break out, or the attempt of others breaking him out. I will be as close to this darn guy as I can. And put double shackles with weights on him. Wrists, ankles, all tied to an electro-collar on his chain. And if I have to get my own supplies to do that, do you understand?" Takeshi, full-on Arbites mode barked at the fellow high ranking officer. Something that he could have become, would he had remained among them. But he chose to be more... Liberate on who and where he is employed. With a skilled and strong grip he moved the unconscious form of Merius, hoping that Archen would comply.
