Ogedei nodded in thanks to Hera as he received the dataslate and with it the information necessary for his further operation. "My ladies, gentlemen, I wouldn't want to bother you with my presence anymore. If the Inquisitor doesn't mind, I'd like to get on with my mission." Not really wanting to say what his exact mission was to these humans, the Khan impatiently waited to be set free upon this planet.
  2. K'tikathat approaches the table and leans on it, closing nearer Merius.

"By what right your hypocrisy has right to exist, priest? I have learned that your kind hallows any means you use to gain personal gain with name of your god, using your religion only as nifty way to fool uneducated masses for your bidding. Kraa." K'tikathat responses with keen, if not low-gothic, rant and finishes with stereotypical grunt the Cardinal most likely expected the avian-xeno to be able reply. With all those people and human genetic matter K'tikathat has consumed, seems he has also caught something akin to sarcasm.

The cardinal's outrage visibly displeased the Reman noble. Of course, one from such a cozy background that she never had to worry much about the ramifications of real life xeno - sentient ones, that is, since a nonsentient was currently nuzzling her neck - but K'tikathat seemed, while scary and not exactly a happy person, to be much more trustworthy than the stuff Alicia had told her about.

"Ah, your Emincence, and, I guess, Sir Kroot," she began while standing up, nervously pulling at her palla and causing a radiantly gold Pius tail to slip out of it, making the reptile twitch in aggravation, "Please excuse my, uh, interruption, but may I humbly suggest to a high- very high ranking member of the Ecclesiarchy and... an agent of the Inquisition, I guess, sorry, Sir Kroot, that you, as they say, cease the hostilities? We are servants of the Throne, after all, aren't we? And that would make any arguing pointless, because we all have the same ultimate goal. Right? Right."

Somewhat uncertain, she sat down again, and looked at the 'accursed xeno'. "I, I think we can agree?"

"Thread carefully Xenos, your presence may be tolerated by us and the Inquisitor, but trying to again smear the name of the Emperor and his servants will lead you to premature death, that I can promise you with certainty," the Khan growled, not being a hardcore zealot himself due to hailing from the White Scars, but still hearing a Kroot speaking like that left a foul taste in his mouth, especially when there were so many human officials in the room.

"And you cardinal, listen to what this girl said," he noted pointing at the Blank, "Where your authority ends the Inquisitor's begins, so I suggest you starting to act like that."

Pierce took the Data slate as it was given to him. Looking to the PDF part of the map a organized Purge sounds like something that would help test his skills against the unclean. He kept a blank face as the conversation about the xeno went on. If ever ordered by the Inqusitor he would eliminate the Kroot. As long as it was ordered by his superior.

"THAT EMPEROR DAMMED XENO SHALL ROT IN THE WARP FOR ITS INSOLENECE!" the Cardinal yelled, having completely snapped from the Kroot's sarcasm and general disrespect, and any attempts by the Khan or Astra to calm him or at least stay his wrath had failed miserably as he bolted up from his chair and pulled out a concealed laspistol, which was likely meant for his own protection when preaching to the masses. The crazed man fired off a shot from the laspistol that cleanly hit the Kroot in the right shoulder, leaving a nicely cauterised wound.

Governor Narthen, Lady Ionria and Hera dived for cover under the table, the trio being the type that couldn't do much in a fight while Archen bolted into action and went around from behind the maddened man of the Emperor, landing a solid blow from his fists into Merius' back which broke a few bones with an audible crunch. Alicia drew her Power Sword, not willing to let anyone harm her retinue and so landed another blow, leaving crimson stains on the floor and a long, bloody gash across the front of Merius' robes and his chest, while she yelled at the retinue "Shoot the damned Cardinal, he's gone mad!"

OOC: The first battle of this RP..... And it was one that could have been avoided (Admittedly the dice didn't seem to like you guys) . This does not bode well for the RP as a whole if the dice keep going this way.

Map of the Spire- A first attempt, do not use as a 100% accurate guide to how big each area is in the actual RP.
Everyone is currently in the meeting room, squares with a cyan outline and light blue colour in them are the Noble Residences(Forgot to add that on the Key ).

"My apologies Cardinal, but the Emperor demands your sacrifice. " His smile held even if itwas one of some regret, despite this Boris had a hand in his coat within an instant and with unflinching gaze he drew las-pistol and went to end it then and there with a clean shot aimed at left eye.

"Burnnnn." 'Firebat' said in a mechanically hissing voice. All of the sudden his pilot light lite up and he washed the cardinal in the toxic fire. It was just a second of flame but itbwas enough to immolate him. No emotion or care crossed his face.

"STOP IT YOU FOOLS!" The Silver Shroud roared in anger and ran to the Cardinal in order to jump on top of him and pin him to the ground and shield him from incoming fire, while hopefully restraining him enough so he couldn't shoot anymore. "You just go and attack one another like this? I get that it's self defense Lady Inquisitor. But for god's sake restrain the man. No need to murder anyone here! How is it going to look if we kill the leader of the church, no matter on what charge, huh?! Do you want to give the population a reason to rebel so just you can kill all of them with an Exterminatus or something?! I mean come on! At least get him in front of a Justicar and have him executed for treason, but not straight out murder like this!"

Obviously the whole masquerade of the man dropped the moment things had gone south almost immediately, and as usual everyone is just all too ready to kill. And while Takeshi did not mind following orders for the sake of it, he was smart enough to not give possible rebels an actual reason to defy them, and then everything will spiral down into a world-wide obliteration for what? Because the Inquisition brought a Kroot to a party, great going Inquisitor. His thoughts were his own, no matter what a contract said.

Moving like lightning, White Scar tried to place himself in front of the cardinal and let his armor absorb the las fire which shouldn't be able to do any damage to him. His plan was to knock the cardinal out before more zealous members of the retinue do something stupid and kill the man, effectively standing on the side of a Xenos and thus damning themselves.
