    ~Introduction~

After Inquisitor's Malrax untimely demise, his Acolyte Alicia Theanon, was promoted to the rank of Inquisitor. Her first act as an Inquisitor was to recruit her retinue, and the first member, Boris Markses came to her in the wake of Marlax’s death, standing with his former boss’s Acolyte even if the others were not so keen on serving under her.

Together, the pair recruited Agent 51 AKA 'Pierce' after the Vindcare’s mission to eliminate a Planetary Governor who had dealings with Xenos was deemed a success, even if the manner of the Governor’s death was not as clean as would have been expected by Vindcare standards.

A visit to Chogoris, the homeworld of the White Scars to request a Space Marine to both provide more overt support and to act as a liaison for any requests for Adeptus Astartes support. Alicia’s request lead to Ogedei Khan, of the White Scars joining the retinue.

When the Inquisitor was in need of someone who could effectively strike terror into those that might get ideas about defying her will, she had found a good candidate in SPECTRE-77, also known as 'Firebat' whom she specifically requested after having seen him execute his deadly work on the battlefront of Praxis V against the Tau and the group of Hereteks trying to side with them. While there she went to ensure that the commanders were not being seduced by the Tau’s promise of the Greater Good, which ended up providing the fifth member of the team, the Sister of Battle Mira from the Order of Our Martyred Lady.

When traveling to Remus to check upon the planet’s loyalty and mutant levels, as well as give her band a vacation, a routine stop off at the Sterlax Sector’s main shipyard for supplies and fresh crew resulted in Theanon came across the Silver Shroud, AKA Takeshi Yamada , a Mercenary bodyguard with an interesting history, and his last contract with a Rogue Trader had just expired. Needless to say, she offered him a new contract, not willing to let the opportunity go to waste.

When the Inquisitor and her band arrived at Remus, even the few spare months that were spent resting and improving on some of the what could only charitably described as non-existent social skills among some of the members of the retinue ended up providing another member for the retinue: A Blank by the name of Astra Rema Ventana Solarii, who was about to run for her life after an accident with a mob.

Vacation over, the now quite large retinue ended up on a recently concluded battlefront, featuring the Tau, again, and Chaos Heretics, to purge anyone among the Imperial forces tainted by Chaos, and return the Tau survivors back to their government. There was one person of note, Sedric Mons , who was snapped up for the retinue.

With a considerable lack of support personnel of any description, Alicia Theanon decided to head to Forge World Metalica to see if anyone from the Mechanicum would be willing to join her, and Zoran Zeth was shoved on top of her list. So she recruited, him, as he possessed both technical and medical knowledge that would likely prove invaluable to keeping everyone else alive.

And finally, while enroute to the Ternaic Sector there was yet another stop off for supplies on the world of Eis Mosley, where in a scummy cantina the Kroot mercenary K'tikathat caught her eye, and so she hired him to act as another helping hand.

    ~Present day~

Sword-Class Frigate “Obsidian Wraith”, in orbit around the Hive World Verdan Prime, Ternaic Sector, Ultima Segmentum.

Today would be the first time the entire retinue had come together as a whole, and boy did Alicia knew it, slowly waking up from a horrible night’s sleep. Siding out of her bed and after hastily throwing on some formal attire that compensated slightly for the Inquisitor’s disheveled appearance. While enroute to the briefing room, she was informed that the Planetary Governor would like to have her on the planet for a formal banquet and afterwards a meeting, which with such a…. Unique group of people and the seemingly token Xeno, it would be a nightmare to make them behave normally.

Once Alicia had arrived at the briefing room and taken her seat, she dispatched an aide to rouse the retinue so that she could have them briefed on what they should do before they went planetside, and was going to happen after the banquet which would be much more suitable to their talents.

Firebat opened his eyes and deattached himself from all the wires hooked up to him to charge his internal systems more easily. He quietly moved to his char scared armor, hooking himself in. This process was timely since it ran off his battery. He knew it was time to hear orders from his new master. Leaving his flamer behind, he ghosted down the hall instinctively avoiding light. Silently entering the briefing room, he just moves to a darken corner and waits patiently. His eyes glowing oodly.

Next one who entered the briefing room was a giant warrior clad in pearl white power armor. His face was a mosaic of old wounds and a number of scars dominated the cheeks going from the scalp down until neck, giving the man a deadly look of a seasoned campaigner. His black hair was tied in a topknot as was the tradition and his storm-blue eyes gazed upon the room's inhabitants.

Symbol picturing a yellow thunderbolt was painted on his shoulder, making him a warrior of the old V Legion, the White Scars. Like any Space Marine, he never went without his weapons and a bolt pistol and chainsword, both weapons cleansed and oiled, were hung at his belt.

"The bird flies and the blue sky is in sights," Ogedei Khan said and smiled, despite his warlike features the smile was of a genuine affection, "Have we finally arrived where you wanted us to arrive, Inquisitor?"

The Merc was up as early as 0600. He may be no Enforcer anymore. But the routine he never got out of his system. And why should he? However he spent his time not idle in the briefing room. Instead first he granted himself a big mug of the finest decaf this ship had to offer. He was in his typical clad, just with his helmet dismounted and revealing his short, black but graying hair. Letting his scared face be shown all across the mess. Burn marks, Skin that was apparently flayed or surgically removed, cut wounds, las wounds, claw wounds. This man had seen, and survived a lot. Good thing nobody had to see the wound that a Mastiff left on his chest. It was not just huge, but disgusting. Enough to have parts of his chest plate removed.

Once his beverage was emptied, the man rose back to his feet, put his helmet on and took a patrol-stroll he enjoyed so greatly. Making sure everyone was on station and alert. At the end of the tour he arrived at the briefing room which he entered.

"The Silver Shroud enters the nest of justice. No villain shall stand before us, for I am here to deal swift justice wherever you point me and my maul of annihilation, Inquisitor." The Mercenary bowed and took a seat. The entire body was hidden beneath his unique uniform. Completely pitch-black, however the silver lining reflected the light of the room brightly along his helmet and coat. The thick carapace armor being hidden beneath.

  5. Behind the Astartes walks in opposite of him, creature wearing bare necessaries to cover his body. Standing nearly as tall as Khan, K'tikathat enter the room, his almost dirtied looking grey-green-brown shaded skin giving contrast to pearl white armor of the White Scar.

"I have not seen blue sky in any of your worlds, human." The Kroot comments, heavy xeno accent thickening the already low gothic.

K'tikathat hair, dark quills, arch backwards, tied together with leather-band, leaving the board shoulders bare. Same muscular tone continues all the way down to his feet, should he be human he would be called ancient Terran image of god. Add slight scent of pheromones he sweats and you might not want to be stuck in elevator with him. Across his back is slung holsters for armblades, bladed tonfas with straps for mounting on forearm. K'tikathat seats himself on a bit too small chair, turning his attention to Inquisitor Theanon.

To him she was just another employer, another person to receive orders from to earn enough to survive for another moment. Sure, her ship was fancier than most others and her other retinue cleaner looking, but K'tikathat didn't care much for humans Inquisition and Imperiums law system. He didn't need to, same system had branded him as slave.

Pierce had been awake early, He was on a strict Exercise routine that the temple had taught him since he was first recruited. As he heard the serf come to the door he opened it, meeting the serf. "Orders from the inquisitor?" The storm trooper trooper at the door nodded tell him to gather at the briefing room and to change from his robes. Pierce closed the door and went to his locker quickly putting back on his stealth suit the only thing he had at the moment in his room besides his Exitus pistol.

Putting His pistol to his belt and heading out the door he entered the Briefing room. His purple eyes looked around the room for the inquisitor before they settled, His brown hair was cleaned and cut short. "Agent 51 Pierce Reporting for duty." Pierce said as he looked to the Inquisitor.

Whatever sense of pleasancy that had accumulated within the briefing room ended abruptly when the otherwise breathable air was metaphorically gassed out by a headache-inducing cloud of what semed to be hundreds of cheap perfumes heaped upon each other, a painful smell that both assaulted the senses violently and heralded the appearance of the ship's resident blank who burst through the door seconds afterwards. "Good mor-ning, Catachan!", the high-pitched voice of Astra chirped melodiously in recall to a movie quite popular on her homeworld. As always, she was a walking sensory overload, even without the almost visible miasma. A bright pink bodyglove was below two seperate, large pieces of cloth, one layer wrapped around her torso in shining, plasticly-reflective bright blue, the other, upper one, a silken poncho in the most painful neon yellow one could find, with a pattern of similarly bright green diamonds adoring its left half. To top this off, dazzling jewelry, gold chains and silver bracelets and jewels and all was strewn over her body, blasting the senses with refracted light. In fact, probably the only thing not directly painful to look at was her still fiery red, wild hair, and the white sandals the girl was wearing. Pius, on the other hand, was patterned a gleaming orange and seemed to still be sound asleep, hanging off her neck.

Eyes bright with naive excitement, or maybe pure optimism, Astra hovered towards the table and apparently refused to take a chair, instead bending over to lean on her arms, grinning at the crew. "Are you ready to spread the light of the Holy Emperor on this fine day?"

As soon as the blank filed in his rebreather attachments started making mechanical sounds to filter her smells and his eyes dimmed as they struggled to adjust to her bright clothes but otherwise he looked like a statue in that corner. His eyes wear the only things moving and it was scanning and recording everything to be downloaded later into a blessed coginator.

Pierce had been through many years as a Vindicare, Cultists, Xenos hive scum and traitors, But this, this would be something he could never grow used to was Astra's Equipment she wore, The Perfume and the light clothing and the glare caught his eyes off guard,The perfumed caused his tear ducts started to water and his eyes were irritated by the perfume and the glare did not help him. He regretted having his spy mask in the armory today. Pierce put a hand up to his eyes clearing them after a few moments. Then looking back to the Inquisitor still waiting for orders.
  10. K'tikathat screeches when Astra enter the room. Primal, animal-trapped-in-corner screech. The two-meter bird-man springs up from the chair, small quills on his limbs raising up. K'tikathat may not have been in jungle for years, but his ancestors instincts come to his mind; bright colored animals are poisonous. And poisonous Astras perfume cloud smells to Kroots nose. Was this a trap? Did they ambush K'tikathat and tricked him into small room with only one exit? K'tikathat reaches for blades on his back.
