Well if the Necrons will be playable the Standart Class would be the Immortal, not the Warrior. Mainly because the Immortal is sentient and can act on their own, and the Warriors can not.
Would also offer up the same armour value as most space marines, so certainly can't complain about that ;D Would love to be a deep striking flayed one or something mauling an unsuspecting squad, but only time will tell if I can fulfill my dream D:
He said he sees them as more of an NPC faction, but faction design also isn't actually his job. He also said not to use his statement as a fact of the design intent, methinks Valrak is just trying to undermine the Crons to make way for his real favorite faction, the Squats.
I'd love it if some of the other, less-known factions become playable. I loved Fire Warrior and playing as a Tau, even though it got a mixed reception...
I say throw Matt Ward's "Necron" abominations back into the garbage and return to the true 3rd edition Necron lore. Newcrons are a bad joke. I'd have no problem if they weren't in the game at all.
