I fink ya shud start doin' yer job an' make our weapons more Killy! It ain't like we aint got da tee fer it.
I put the Iron gob on all my classes, that toughness and armour boost is crazy to pass up. Golden gob though, I only put on my "Flash Git" shoota vet to make him... well, flashy. It's really not worth 200+ more LP just for 25 health, but man does it look good. Golden gob + pirate hat with gold skull icon + golden teeth = Flashiest git around XD. Maybe reduce it to 400-450?
How do you think people feel when they get killed by a kannon shot at long range? Its faster then even the starshot. It honestly just a weakness of the one shot veteran system in general. You can get instagibbed my a fair amount of stuff. As far as the Golden Gob goes, it's the most stat efficient item in regards to actual slots. Its super inefficient in LP but hyper efficient that it only takes one spot to get all those stats. That's kind of why the more stats something has, the faster the LP cost goes up. You're basically paying extra LP to stack 3 items worth of stuff into one slot. If you think about it like this: 25 health ~ 100LP 20Armor ~100LP 25 Toughness ~150LP So if you had 3 items that'd be about 350LP as is. So you're paying 250LP for basically 2 extra equipment slots. Obviously that's not a direct comparison to actual items available in lieu of the gob. But from a balancing perspective that's why the more stats on an item, the more the costs ramps up instead of just literally being 3 items in 1 for the same cost.
@Fissiccisst Snip. Kannon shots don't always register, and you can't steer the projectile mid flight. That, and the star shot travels in a perfectly straight line unless you steer it. The kannon does not. The Starshot is also supposed to be AV, the Kannon from my experience after the patch seems to deal next to no damage to vehicles, and I'm using the regular one, not the napalm one. And I've killed LSM Vets with a Big Shoota charge. Which- kind of suprised me.
Kannon does plenty of AV damage just gotta hit rear armor is all. As for gob pricing, I think as more things are added/reworked that gob prices, along with all gear, is going to need price changes. That or they could just make rusty gobs available to all classes.
I'm liking how the Developers have decided to make us the tanky bullet-sponges we are in Lore. Right proppa. New build on Monday is gonna be interesting for everyone.
