Well the lightning storm is mostly just cosmetic to bring fear, suspicion, etc. among the parties ^^ (save for that thunderhawks and crap can be crushed down, etc. in case it flies too high) Regards the Atmosphere-block it's like the planet is containing whatever attempts to get out (what is in this case the lightning storm) also the lightning storm will slow down now that the artifact is taken out of it's place, it served as a power source that was activated by the synapse of the hive tyrant once he stepped into the room and the celestial stairs had been an energy conductor, focusing the energy into a lightning storm. So there is no real shield or barrier, not physical that is. Similar like the warp works it is there, but it's not physical at all. *hope that explains it a bit better*
Makes enough sense. I already finished the changes. As well, I'm having to dig back amongst the previous replies to respond to the Eldar attack on the citadel. One more thing. Exactly how many Tyranids does the Alpha control, as well as the recently arrived tendril of the "loyal" Hive-Mind's forces, compared to those of the rogue Queen?
Rogue Queen has only a bunch of few hundred on the world or so, the 'space hulk' is full of nids with several millions, building up at the moment and sucking on the oceans I guess. The new tendril that just came also has a few millions, around same as the rogue queen, but they fight more efficient since it's the pure hive mind and not just a tendril, not to forget that the warp storm is affecting the synapse. At least iam thinking so.... if Jester wants to handle it different then he should reply here EDIT: The HT himself where he is, idk but it doesn't really matter since he is linked with Hive Fleet Kraken again
Wow, so the rest of us might as well not bother then? The Tyranids having millions of troops, while the rest of us having a few hundred Marines each, and maybe a few hundred thousand mortal troops. Doesn't even really seem like we have a chance. Furthermore, Alpha already has the artifact in orbit now, along with more ships then the rest of us.
You have, just wait. Also as in Eternal Crusade you guys should start considering making alliances and such things for common goals.... Furthermore I actually had planned to make this truly eternal to make here and there holes in the warp storm and throw some other chapters and craftworlds and crap into this thing + having things like the ultras actually be extincted and shit. Keep in mind I intend this thing to happen between 050.M42 and 100.M42 and make it in basic the 'height of the war' where later on also Tau and shit will arrive. This is merely the start.... And it's an eternal crusade.... LITERALLY. This thing will never stop. so better get used to have your char die ^^

Not in orbit, heading there now. Still got a chance to intercept it every faction nearby. I'm putting a few more nids than the other factions under alpha's command due to the tyranid civil war that's about to be fully blown. Also the tyranids weren't supposed to be a full side, but more of an equalizer factor. I originally planned Alpha to stay in the maze until the first player controlled character would invade, then lose but take down as many of the first army as possible, then the norn-queen went traitor and this got a lot more complicated. Anyways on the ground now, not counting the biomass getting siphoned into orbit, are 100k large (Carnifex sized) + 5 mil Gaunts + 5 mil rippers + 2.5 mil warriors (according to Urian). Again that's mostly for crushing the norn-queen, so all the forces are very split. Btw you do know there are other relics right? It's not just the sarcophagus that's the key to all power in this rp lol. Anyways, up to you guys if you want to intercept it or not. Though either way, Alpha's going work with the Hive Mind (controlled by Urian, so hopefully) to crush the norn-queen, especially with the biomass being used to form a new hive fleet in orbit (with or without the relic).
In regards to Cousintp's reinforcing his allies, I know that the farseer standing next to me would tell us that they are coming, as well as other details, but I don't want to underhand everything Chaos does. (Even though that's what Eldar do, it would be pretty lame to do it every single time. :| ) Trying to sneak up on Eldar doesn't really work, and I don't want to cheese the game here, but it might just as well break lore not to do it. Suggestions?
