    Cough Fire dragons cough

    No instant death of course.

Yeah but a Fire Dragon's basic loadout is a fusion gun, which is essentially a meltagun variant and for most races a non-standard special weapon.

It's their standard loadout, but hardly a basic one.

I disagree, if I use a weapon that can blow a hole in a Rhino, then it's got to be an instant death weapon when pointed at any foot trooper of the game will be out of balance and the fast moving heavy platform like bikes and buggies will be tougher than tanks.

Game balance / Fun factor takes precidence for me.

That I'll agree with, but not dying from an anti-tank shot to the chest is bad game balance and if I land one on you and you don't die isn't fun for me either. The fun part of your argument is subjective to each individual player.

I'm not asking to be able to one shot someone with a bolter but it most certainly should be for an anti-tank weapon.

Well sure i am thinking of sniper rifles here, infantry weapons/anti infantry weapons should not, would not be fun, but if your using anti tank weaponry we are talking about the big guns, then yes sure one hit one kill, but it should be quite hard to do so.

The question then is, how many will run around with anti tank weaponry because how OP it is vs infantry, and then try to one shot people left and right.

Agreed. 1-shot weapons should be tempered with lower ammo totals, difficulty aiming/moving with them, low RoF etc so they aren't an OP tool but an Ork or SM shaking off a direct hit from any heavy fusion or las weapon would make me a sad panda.

Better ways to limit their misuse than removing 1-shot altogether imho. The friendly fire concerns of using Melta, Plasma and Missiles alone make them somewhat limited in close and mid-range combat with Assaults and Elites moving to melee .

Plasma Cannons, Melta Guns, point-blank explosives and heavy weapons - these should kill in one shot. Seeing characters take rocket blasts infuriates me (one reason why I only ever play Hardcore servers in BF4)
  10. Hey with the friendly fire it could balance out!

I am for "realism" so far as, a giant friggin laser cannon shot to an unarmored head and to most armored heads should kill the character.
