When Presets are gone, an AV Weapon (preferably Melta and Rokkits/Zapgun for orks) should be free to take then, if every faction should be able to take an AV Loadout from the Beginning. Presets going away alone wont solve this issue
Agreed, I have said from the beginning that a designated AV loadout should be an all or nothing affair. Either everyone has access out the gate or no one does.
Maan I feel you on the chain sword.......I run Ga cus it gives me the Captain fluff load out feel. I had to adopt the PF instead cus why wouldn't you with what it can do over a chain weapon.
giving newbies a lascannon is actually a really good idea. keeps them alive longer letting them actually do something and if a noob can kill a vehicle successfully. this would change the way a new player experiences the game and give E.C. a boost in the right direction me thinks
I think until devs/havocs get pistols giving noobies a lascannon is a poor idea, they'll just be helpless, victimized and discouraged when someone comes to kill them(and they will)
You make a good point about that. I think it would till be okay cus they need anything at this point but ideal would be with a complete basic load out.
I'm frankly amazed this hasn't been addressed yet. It shouldn't be the case that some factions get a serviceable anti-vehicle Preset but the others don't. Only if the bonus is a linear 16 and not a percentage of its original value. Does the Chainaxe get penetration bonus teeth? Do they add 16 as well?
Putting aside the fact that LSM really have poor priorities when it comes to killing vehicles I agree with OP. Also if we can put in a system where Squad Leaders actually give orders or get kicked that'd be great.
