It aint pretty out here boyz. I think I'm 0-7 so far tonight haha. JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL! I should have just saved up and bought weapons straight out, I don't know why I wasted like 10k on boxes so far, dumb move.
Nathan said gore was totally something they plan to do, but it will be a DLC to dodge the ratings hurdle. Can't wait to carve Pixies in half with a chainsword.
I am like 0-12 now. This is a miserable leveling experience. I can see now why we have trouble retaining players when 80% of players are LSM fans.
Well, it will be interesting to see how much the W/L-Ratio changes when they remove the Presets, but I must admit that I do not believe they will make that much of a difference, though it will be nice that new Eldar players don't need to use Presets until Rank 3 due to the lack of Wargear I don't think the lack of heavy weapons have much to say in this, as Eldar are doing well without those. Just look at the average Eldar rooster and try to spot someone using a Shuriken Cannon :/ Admittedly there are often someone with a Reaper Launcher or Tempest Launcher in a match, but the Reaper Launcher will soon get a large nerf and the Tempest Launcher is usually just as dangerous to the Eldar as to the Enemy, so I don't expect we will see a bloom of Dark Reapers anytime soon.
Without, but I mean most new players aren't going to be playing with a guild either. This is quite literally the "new player" experience, except this would be even more frustrating if I was truly new, didn't know maps, didn't know classes, weapons, counters etc. God damn I feel bad for new LSM players haha.
The lack of heavy weaponry doesn't seem to hurt Eldar so much, possibly because they have other options that are good: Swooping Hawks and Firedragons come to mind. What I notice is that when most of the LSM are tacticals and the enemies are more mixed, we really struggle - and I see more mixed classes on other factions, Eldar particularly. Possibly because the Dire Avenger is rather poor at the moment.
I would make a giant post explaining counters, tactics, and general game knowledge but it would likely be closed or trampled on by people. Not to mention most newbies wouldn't even read it as the majority don't even come to the forums. So it's either that or I sit in the training map and manually teach every LSM newbie that loads in, that's a nice meme, I don't really have time for that. People also have to want to learn. This isn't really an issue specific to LSM either, I have run in to a ton of newbies on the other factions, LSM just happens to have more.
I've tried to explain tactics IG but not many seemed to care. Craving for frags is strong with guildless LSM.
