It's called "Important things first" which is smart development choices. They'd need an actual complete game with all four factions before moving on to adding a world map. Then it'd be a map with no factions to play with. That'd be backwards logic.

It's been dubbed a "lobbyshooter" since Nathan hit the scene. It's not surprising information, why are you pretending like it is?

And what major features are preventing it from launching?

Can't have played the game for long, then. Most of the guys plummeting into the ground were just knobheads who are no better off on the ground.

You really haven't played Planetside 2, then.

Planetside 2's 3 factions vs Eternal Crusade's 4 isn't a huge difference when it comes to the amount of factions.

And why do we have to do that?
  3. Ohyoupokedme Poked First Blood!

Most of that is my opinion. I find Planetside 2 to be very boring and I only played in bursts of two hours each session. So no I haven't played much of it because it doesn't interest me. Zerging is an obvious issue, where I'm most obviously outnumbered or sometimes I go into a base that may have one guy in it. You think EC you feel like an Imperial Guard? Planetside 2 I practically am one. Just another guy in a mass trying to break down the door to a Biolab.

Again, I've played in bursts because I find the factions boring and the gameplay repetitive. But I haven't played it in a while or since the construction update.

And yes, it is a HUGE difference in factions because, as I said, I can barely tell the difference between factions in Planetside 2 verses factions in Eternal Crusade. I'm not saying it's truly not difference, but I don't feel like it's any different.

And yes, we should give this game the benefit of the doubt because we knew this game wasn't going to be the game we all dreamed of many years ago, this has been that way for a while. The Devs have given us no real reason not to believe that they will have a complete game by launch. It may not be the game you want or it may not have all the features you want, but Space Wolves just need confirmation and Guilds and World Map are the only two requirements I can think of thus far. Everything else is opinion really.

Then they can move on to polish, bug fixing, and so on.

If people can forgive Dead By Daylight for all the sh*t it pulls, why can't Eternal Crusade be given a chance?

Look guys, you can argue with me all around if you want, all I am saying is this:

The Devs have shown that they can handle a lot of things on their plate at one time. This summer has shown that considering the amount of things they've pumped out for us.

I knew this game would be average from the get go. And I hope they continue to update it. Everyone here is making a laundry list of "necessary features" they need for launch. I agree that launch, if possible, should be delayed, but Nathan has said that they simply cannot delay launch. Thus we have to take what is given to us.

Right now, the only thing they TRULY need is the World Map. But Space Wolves are awaiting confirmation and Guilds will follow. At that point, it is a complete game, at least it is minimal of what we have envisioned. We have to accept that we MAY have to put up with an average launch title.

Nothing we say or do here will give them more money. We have to either have faith that they will polish this game enough by launch, or not have faith and abandon this game even post launch. Those are our two choices from here on.

For me, I'm going to wait for post-launch before making any judgement. This summer the team has shown themselves competent at handling many issues at once. They have features at the ready for post launch (Terminators and Equivalents, Warlords, so on) and I will have fun with what I have. This isn't exactly a team rolling in dough. And you could be playing much worse 40k games. I'd conclude that this isn't the end of the world for Behavior or Eternal Crusade.
  5. Your opinion is wrong.
  6. Ohyoupokedme Poked First Blood!

I'm glad you think that way, because you don't want to know my opinion of you right this moment.
  7. 0strum 0strum Arkhona Vanguard

Nope, they're finished and ready. The developers just won't release them until they've upgraded the game to UE4.12.

    Edit:
    Stop feeding it :D
    KharnVarus likes this.
  8. Now that I think about it: what MMO has actually had a smooth launch? Is it just fate that every MMO needs to have a bad launch?
  9. MHezzu MHezzu Confessor

    It is Tzeench.

    Join an outfit.
Who says I forgive Dead By Daylight? Not that I expected anything from it either way.
