There's a sentiment our pistols got lotsa dakka but seems to me the best pick is the zip gun, though it takes a whole mag to down someone. Meanwhile the most accurate off the hip is the six shoota but the damage is terrible. I know it's supposed to be fast firing, accurate, reloading. But why bother when you can use a dakka slugga with about the same damage and 20 rounds per mag? Then we got ye olde slugga which could probably be good between jabs but otherwise doesn't seem incredible practical. Whats your opinion on em?
I prefer the dakka slugga to the zip slugga personally. I find it more satisfying. However, the sparky slugga is one of the best pistols in the game right now. I've never used the 6 shoota. It seems like the devs missed something when they added that one. The slab slugga is ok. Some people swear by them. My accuracy isn't great so I usually prefer the rapid fire.
I think someone misplaced a few integers with the 6 shoota. Virtually no recoil, perfect accuracy, but the absolutely tiniest amount of damage that runs contrary to the description let alone orkyness. But with the slab having 7 rounds and being fairly accurate if you "Double" aim, giving it more damage would kinda step on the toes of the slab. And with only 6 rounds and tiny amounts of damage, Zip and Dakka sluggas are better for putting more dakka downrange. So I'm lefting wondering what the thing is even supposed to be?
Perhaps it was meant to be a weapon that rewards accuracy? Like if you get a head shot you deal more damage than normal (even for a head shot). Mind you that doesn't sound very Orky.
Six shoota still dumpster tier after my break, sad to see. Should be our "accurate" medium/high damage pistol with low ammo capacity(honestly it should be called a Six shoota but only have 5 bullets, would be Orky). Slab Slugga is still the best imo in terms of LP cost. Sparky Slugga is always taken if I have room for it though. Pokkit Rokkit having a charge time killed the gun completely honestly, should have just lowered damage greatly on it, kept it inaccurate and kept just use it as a point blank CC/small damage.
What a Six-Shoota is in lore, is a grabage gun that only gets made because an aspiring Mekboy has to practice with something more complex than a Slugga. The only proper way to fix it would be to reduce it's cost down to 100(0 with mastery), and let it be the "I want to save 50 LP" gun.
TIL. That would work then I guess if the team wants to have potentially useless gear if only to fit the lore and reduce LP. But given Doks reliance on sidearms in the current design, a wasted option in the sidearm category seems almost criminal. Maybe give it some ammo options? Fire, Poison, etc. Lexicanicum: "given that it is less powerful then slugga and even more prone to jamming" Only orkz can make a revolver that runs on imagination but is still prone to jamming (Probably because they expect it to, if we want to take the fun out of it)
