inb4 flame wars and lock?
Honestly I feel like it is too easy to spot a scorpion while they are cloaked. The while moving part feels correct, but even with the obscuring stone while standing still you're still rather easily seen if you're been attentively sought out after by the enemy. You're mostly only glossed over during a massive brawl of a fight and even then it seems there's that -one- heaavy that's just holding out the looking glass for some scorpion blood.
Past that, the ambushes that do get pulled off successfully are the intended thing scorpions are meant to pull off. They're meant to ambush, and they do it extremely well when laying in wait to protect their allies. From what I can see in your video, your largest issue is always being caught alone, where as the eldar have allies. You pick off and secure some kills, left near dead. Then another one picks you off. Every death in your video could've been avoided if you had paired with an ally. Teamwork is the real OP factor in that video, if anything can be called OP in it. Well, except that death from the eldar tank. You could've probably avoided that if you instant left the corpse and didn't pelt bolter rounds into it ;P
so.. your frustrated that you keep running into our melee class? Should I make a video for every drum-Bolter I run into? and wow.. look what happens when you rambo alone.. you get dead.. had some good runs though before getting dead
nice to see tactical rollex suck in melee
git gud Turturibus - only advice
Strange that you want to uninstall as I thought you played well. I mean your Bolter just melted some of those eldar, your nade tricks are sound, and your rollex worked. Where you expecting or suggesting that your ranged specialist should be stronger than a weak melee unit who relies on ambushing to get close to kill opponents? If yes then, that’s not how balance works. FYI dx10 will make your view brighter, it helps
From what I know about you, this is likely not a a balancing-thread as everyone else seems to assume?
I have the same thing with JPA's.
You hear the jet-pack-engines roar and you know that you are going to die because some random little shit will spam quick-attacks in your face until you die and there is nothing you can do about it.
Scorpions aren't a very common pick but, sure, the video shows them doing precisely their job: attack, deny and assassinate lone wolves.
Right now melee, except for HB, is usually going to win any 1v1 they can close the gap on. Exception being really stupid players, (bad) luck or excessive use of rollex and burst-exploits.
Your best counter is running with a party that will have your back. Don't panic, try to keep the enemy in place so they make a good target for your friends.
Hmm... fresh salt... yum yum.
Has video of him beating a melee class 1on1 with a tact... complains when he gets taken out solo against 3... conclusion: Scorpion OP, must nerf now? What's the message here?
The only thing I see actually wrong with this video are those airbursts. Sure, scorpions can rob you of precious reaction time, but at least you can counter that by watching your back and having teammates to back you up. Nade tricking works so well in close quarters because it takes advantage of the sluggish netcode and lag compensation to give the target no time to react. Usually, by the time the player sees the animation of you tossing the grenade or any warning indicator that they could reasonably be expected to react to, you have already shot it on your screen. That, and only LSM and CSM can abuse it to this extent, because only they can reliably burst their nades with a single bullet. Only Orks with their Slugga pistols could potentially do the same, but their grenades are far easier to react to anyway.
Eldar playerbase flaming and complaining about the bolter part 20446.
Seriously, do you guys need another bolter nerf to stop complaning about nade bursts and bolter damage?
