"So, the first thing you do when making your introduction to me.... Is give me an insult via that blade of yours? I sincerely hope you manage to become more intelligent the next time you address me, lest I decide to not be so forgiving of such a grievous faux pas." Alozia replied, a cold anger apparent in her voice. Taking a deep breath, she then said to her fellow Drchii (@Valonox ) "So, what else have you come to me for, other than sharing insults?" Suffice to say, Kalitara had made a rather interesting discovery when she took the time to examine her dagger more closely, delving deeper into the magic of her prize... And she had found something interesting, a new spell that made a scythe of amethyst energy right into her hands, a spell that apparently only drew upon only the Wind of Shyish. Suffice to say, she was itching for a chance to show off the spell she had found, if only to see how others would react.
Vacus put a hand over his face in the shook his head forgetting his brothers blade. "My apologies I will not display the blade in your presence. I know High Elven magic is a pure insult to you. I was here to introduce myself to my kinsmen before I introduced myself to the others."
As the food that was prepared by Tugg was passed out for everyone, the lizardman took a helping as well with some reluctance. He knew the ogre used the creature for their food, but it was also the only meat he had come across for a long time either. Hoping the Old Ones would forgive him for even trying it, the Saurian tossed into his toothy maw what was called bacon first. And to his complete surprise.....it was actually edible. Being of the flesh of the beastmen, he expected it to make his stomach wretch at the taste, but no it tasted like ordinary meat with an odd flavor here and there. The sausage wasn't bad either. The Ogre must have worked some miracle or such to make this happen and not be a pile of disgusting flesh. @Grall_Stonefist "You made the meat of the abominations something worth eating. That speaks of your skill more than any compliment I could give." he told the Butcher ogre before biting into another sausage.
"A sound idea.... When enacted by someone else." Alozia replied to Vacus (@Valonox ), trading another barb. Still, there was method to the apparent madness, so she then said "But I would recommend giving yourself an introduction to everyone else, given that well.... We do rely upon each other quite a bit, so just cosying up to those of the same kind is just asking for trouble later down the line." Course, she was actually trying to be helpful with the latter part, given that making the Dark Elves seem like a hidden group with an agenda was a prime way to start tearing the group apart with suspicion and distrust. Something she suspected they really didn't need to happen when on the tail of Beastmen where internal strife was just begging for trouble.
Kristoff had to admit he was a bit caught off guard by the death of Tuska. He was a fearsome warrior, had battled a Vargheist by himself on the bridge. To be killed by a Greatsword was, well surprising to say the least. While it was one less Greenskin in the world, the Wolf Priest was almost sorry to see him go. Almost. "Next beast I cut down will be for you ya ugly bastard." Taking another swig of ale, Kristoff decided it was time to tempt fate and try Tugg's newest creation. And once more the lumbering oaf surprised him. If there was one thing Kristoff thought would always be disgusting, it would be Beastmen. Yet it seemed Tugg had no limits in his cooking abilities. "Well done Tugg, somehow you make even the most disgusting things delicious!" Kristoff declared as he gorged himself on a plate of sausage and bacon. After getting his fill, Kristoff realized they had some new company, the newest elf being the first to catch his attention. "Heh, so we have another knife ear in our lands? How many of you bastards are there in the Old World? Oh forgive me, forgot ye don't like that phrase. How bout lanky sons o' bitches?" @Grall_Stonefist @Valonox @Maleth
<Lumber Mill - Previously on the AMC's the Walking Dead> @DeranVendar Perhaps it didn't smell bad right at the start but sure as hell it started stinking quite soon. In fact, a bad smell hit Harold's nostrils as soon as he started moving in between rows of stacked logs. And it didn't only smell like Beastmen. It was something else, an odor so vile it crept beneath your skin and once smelling it, you were unable to "caught it up" from your lungs, it stuck like glue. Stepping round a corner and arriving close to the center of the lumber mill where big saws and metal machinery were located and from where the logs were turned into planks, Harold saw a shallow hole in the ground where at least dozen of bodies lied, all thrown into a pile. Humans, by the looks of their clothing, villagers or lumberjacks that worked here, intertwined with Beastmen corpses. Couple of ungors as well as one rather big specimen in heavy armor, a Bestigor probably, all lied on top of each other, and they were all dead. Maggots feasted upon them as well as a small flock of vulture birds that didn't seem to pay much attention to Harold as he skulked nearby nor the awful smell that was undoubtedly coming from that hole. As for himself, Harold was as camouflaged as he could hope to be and he was sure he was well hidden. That's why it came as a surprise to him that he spotted movement to his right, near the wall of the lumber mill. Couple of seconds later a ram's head reared up, followed by mangled body of a Gor. The creature's eyes were white as milk and its torso was missing few parts, upon closer inspection it actually missed one arm as well, while green puss dripped from its mouth and ear sockets. It moved slowly, unlike any Beastmen Harold saw before, but purposefully and it was heading straight towards his hiding spot. Few options were placed before the Badlander. Whatever this creature was, it was no problem for him to snipe it from afar, even if it was some sort of an undead Beastmen (what else it could be?), he had those silver bolts he acquired after the siege of High Rock which would definitely help him to put this thing down for good. Or maybe he could retreat towards the nearby house, the one next to the lumber mill - it didn't look that it suffered much damage so perhaps he could hold in there until the thing wanders off although that could take a while since this thing wasn't really moving fast. Or perhaps, given the fact he was well-hidden, he could just remain where he was and let the thing pass him since there was no way it could've spotted him. Clock was ticking but if there was any consolation, his mission was successful - he indeed found some of the villagers and some of the Beastmen, although not in pristine condition, so there was something he could report back.
Vacus listened to the Sorceress but did rather care for her words she did not the meaning of that blade nor would she ever unless the Witch King became the king of High and Dark elves he knew that but before he could depart he saw the Warrior Priest approach and say insulting things to the other elves but Vacus didn't rather mind it. "Hail I believe your the man that is in love with the wolves. To be honest I've been around too long to keep count."
"Fuggin' plagued shite... " Harold hunkered down with his crossbow. Cloak shifted in places as he did his best to discreetly load up at least one silver bolt in the event things went to hell. Nestling himself into the deepest shadow without requiring too much action on his part the man slowed, and then stopped, his breathing.
Tugg let many of the sausages left to the side for later, or if any other also wanted some more, as they where easy to take with you when traveling as a snack, and after all there was so much more to eat right here, and with how little even the ones who ate most of his cooked food, ate very little by his standards, so this was a feast where he might even be able to get a good fill before. Tugg was also quiet happy that the lizard whos name he couldent pronounce and Kristoff liked his food, it was too bad the ork wasent here anymore, and also too bad that he was going to waste whereever he had fallen, the ork had a fine taste in eating, annd would surely have also been happy with all the food present, both ogre and the varius beastmen, even if the small horned ones where a bit stringy, they where still alot better than gnoblers, atleast people had forgotten about the goblin soup, and now his cooking could be appreciated again.
<Lumber Mill - I see you> @DeranVendar Harold pulled back into the shadows through and through, but the foe aligned against him was not of this world and simple parlor tricks would not do him good here, especially that the sentience behind the scene which acted like a "puppet-master" was quite sensitive to living creatures and the distinctive smell of the living. As the undead Gor continued with its slow advance towards Harold's hiding spot so did the vultures, which were until then poking the corpses inside the hole, started gawking and flew in the air, circling around where the Badlander was. He also spotted that these birds didn't look so healthy after all and similarly to the shambling creature, they too had milky eyes and their feathers were covered in green puss. What was worse, those corpses the birds were picking at just seconds ago now slowly rose up on their feet, seemingly not giving too much crap about being dead. Suddenly, Harold was looking at ten+ enemies and as a cherry on top, he looked around and saw more movement in the trees from which he came from. More of the shambling humans and Beastmen alike arrived, and since Harold already fought simple undead monsters, these lot were definitely something else. This knowledge combined with the repugnant smell and the creeping green ooze could mean only one thing. There were lots of them and fighting was perhaps out of the option if he wanted to stay in one piece. As the corpses started piling up from all sides, he could perhaps try to run through them and hope they won't tackle him or something, but that was also a problem due to the damned birds giving away his position. But at that moment he heard sounds of battle to his left, past the lumber mill and the trees - if anything, if there was really someone fighting over there, having one more body was definitely better than being on his own.
