Fulke muttered a curse under his breath, eyeing the wood with suspicion and rising bile. Even the building around him was being warped to the will of the dead. Leaning close to the wood, the disgraced Greatsword's muttering intensified, prayers of Morr for the deceased whispered into the column. Such words were meant to lay the dead to rest, to let them move on from this life. Rumor had it among the small circles of Vampire Hunters, such prayers were harmful to the restless dead. They forced the damned souls to transition to their eternal peace. He doubted such words truly applied to wood, but if there were some curse over the Inn.. There surely was no harm in it.

"I suppose you could say we're just passing through." Alozia replied, not wishing to spill the beans she was here on business rather than just travelling. Taking a small sip from the bottle, trying to not let the foul appearance make too much of an impact to her composure (and hoping it tasted better than it looked).
The Druchii then inquired "I don't suppose you have any friendly advice for a group looking to avoid getting stuck into trouble around theses parts?" She was mostly asking about that just so that she knew what to do to avoid drawing unwanted attention.... Or get it, should her employer see it fit to start causing a distraction in the village for the others to do some stealth work.

Kristoff sighed in annoyance as the woman remained belligerent. He held out a small sack of coins towards her, hoping to get something. She was old, which means she lived longer under the yoke of the undead than most others. He had a feeling she was more than just some simple peddler.

"Fine, but I'd prefer to buy something other than your trinkets. I need information." Kristoff despised having to bribe some citizen who would wallow under the rule of a vampire, but they neeed all the information they could get if they were to liberate this region. And if bribes didn't work, there was always his last resort.

After only couple of steps that Tugg made after getting past the fence and starting with the climb did he hear a shout coming from the building on top of the hill. "Another step and I'll put a bolt between your eyes Ogre." It was a female human voice, undoubtedly someone older than the girl he just chased down but also apparently armed as well, since he couldn't really see the figure speaking to him because she was hidden behind one of the angelic statues but he could clearly see the shining end of a bolt on top of a crossbow aimed at him from one of the shadows. "It is unwise to desecrate the grounds of Morr's temple, especially in a cursed place like this. What business do you have here?"

After a moment of pause, the old woman grabbed the sack greedily and placed it in her robes. "Information you seek? Then I can tell you the right place to find it. Go to the Major's house over there, the biggest building in Eichenwald, and he will tell you everything you need to know," she pointed at the nearby house, by the looks of it it was definitely the biggest one in the village. It was also the house where Mariah went half an hour ago to and actually, never returned from.

"Now I must pack my things," the woman said and did just that in a hurry, "The night is coming and I don't want to stay out when that happens, which I suggest you evade doing as well. So long," she spoke and left the stand, disappearing in one of the dark alleyways nearby, leaving the trio seeming all alone in the village, for there was not a soul around them anymore and the only companion they had at the moment was howling of a cold wind coming from the Middle Mountains, but they could swear they heard something else as well besides the wind...

Door to the Inn opened as well as Khelandria and Feuerstolz also found their way over here, taking a seat next to the rest of the company while Aloiza and Fulke busied themselves with their work which after couple of seconds was cut short for them. Innkeeper was just about to offer a witty reply to Aloiza when he caught sight of what Fulke was exactly doing and his eyes widened. "NO!" he only managed a small warning which was thankfully enough for the Vampire Hunter t0 step aside as a huge ghostly scythe came at him from the actual wall, cleaving a stool only couple inches away from him in half. It was followed by a transparent robed figure with the looks from some deepest nightmare. Cairn Wraith loomed above Fulke for a second, hefting its scythe as if measuring its opponent, before charging at him without a sound.

"NO! NO!" Innkeeper blabbered as he saw the undead fiend and went for his own belt on which a crooked dagger was held. Grabbing it, he tried to stab Aloiza in the back however the Druchii was way quicker than some pox-marked human and she was able to evade such sneaky attack, giving her time to see another of the Wraiths rising from the floor and catching Ubarin where he sat, the short transparent sword it held in its pale hands stabbing right through the Gold Wizard's robes and exiting through his heart, the man dying in a spray of blood.

"TO ARMS!" Constantine shouted now and pulled out his black sword, the blade intercepting second Wraith's own sword and actually locking it in place, preventing the thing from moving onward to another victim. At the same time as the battle in the Inn started they could hear growls and moans from outside of it, the crowd there of Sigmar knows what kind of filth gathering in strength.

It would seem that their welcome was short-lived after all.

  5. Tuska gave of an annoyed grunt at the old lady trying to sell then what he saw as just a bunch of random stuff she picked up off the ground. When she packed up and left he started talking. "Well dat was bloody unsatisfying. Ows about wez go to dat buildin she was talkin about?" Before Krostoff could answer Tuska started walking towards the largest building on town not really knowing why and not caring either. He was bored and found something to do that might end up in a fight and that was all that interested his one tracked orcish mind.

Kristoff nodded as he moved after thee Black Orc, who seemed eager for something violent to happen. He couldn't blame him really, he was a bit on edge himself. This whole region disgusted him, and seeing such weak people only made him more agitated.

Now though he had some concern. The old hag pointed them over to the mayors house, where Maria had disappeared to, and they hadn't seen her come out, and knowing that this place was under the control of the undead... He picked up his pace.

    @TuskatheDaemonKilla
"Well my friend, hopefully there will be something for us to bash inside there." He had a strong feeling there would be.
  7. "Ye dis place as got a weird feelin about it not spiky weird but still it's just not proopa it is." Tuska said as he continued to walk towards what he assumed was the town's boss's hut. He didn't really care what he was going to fight all he cared about wa dthe fight happening soon before some weird shite started happening.

It had been going well, considering the surroundings, the superstitious peasants and the lowering mountainside complete with eerie castle. Those last two felt rather homely to the Witch Elf, though she had to concede that the atmosphere was not welcoming. Very definitely not the sort of place to have a quiet holiday, though perhaps they might yet manage a quiet drink -

The walls erupted, bleeding undead into reality and Khelandria's own comfort zone.

Lacking anything that could pierce the immaterial forms of the mist-riven unhallowed ones, and possessed of sharp enough senses to hear the commotion outside, Khelandria leaped over the nearest fallen chair left by a fleeing patron. She vaulted over the intervening table and slammed the door more tightly closed, using her weight against it combined with the force of her charge. She grabbed the bar and rammed it into place.

"You!" the she-Elf barked at the nearest peasant. "Help me with this." She started to shove the table against the door, wishing to use its weight to bolster the defences.

"If you have no weapons, stay close to Master Constantine! But give him room to fight!"

    <Tugg> @Grall_Stonefist

"What, you mean...? You mean you are not with the undead?" she asked more politely now and Tugg could see that the crossbow was lowered. "Of course you are not, damn, how could I not see it!" she spoke but then somewhere back from where Tugg was standing a howl echoed, a howl often associated with a pack of angry wolves, although it sounded somehow distorted.

"Morr's blood, they caught your sent! Up, up, hurry!" she beckoned him forward towards the building as she finally stepped from the shadows and the Ogre could see a young woman in her mid twenties armed in half-chainmail and a black coat with a sleek blade on her hip and silver crossbow in her hands. He could also hear something crashing through the foliage behind him and the howls sounded closer then ever.

It turned out they didn't have to wait for much longer as they suffered the final blow of, what would later seem as a simultaneous attack by the Vampire's minions and the Grandmaster himself. As they approached the house its door opened and for a moment they could see a lovely human woman in pretty black dress looking at them from the doorway before she suddenly disappeared and instead of her, a squad of eight skeleton warriors armed with swords and shields marched out of the house in dead silence, going straight for them.

Eight skeletons where not that huge of a deal however then they heard moaning coming from the docks just couple of streets down and they could see as a huge mob of strange looking humans slowly began moving towards them in an awkward fashion. If they looked more closely they would see these humans looked very wrong, parts of their bodies were missing or were hollow in some places while they also looked soaking wet as if they just had a bath...or were hiding below the river since they were not humans at all, at least not at the moment. So as the horde of at least thirty zombies slowly walked towards them and the eight skeletons looked ready for fight, they had small window of opportunity to act - ran back towards the Inn and warn the rest of the company or try and barge into the building to find their lost Bretonnian Knight. If she was there at all that is.
