So! Thus far it seems that everyone in the voting segment had chosen for equal parts Eldar, Imperium & Chaos, the lattermost had finally won the segment for now; so, I'll be hosting an RP for the Renegades in question! TEMPORARILY CLOSED! The RP itself will focus upon a notably large Warband that has itself the luck of owning its very own sector, and with it its own populace to draw from; its primarily traded its resources (whether manpower, armour, weapons or archeotech) into the Warp to other renegades. Rumours have been whispered through the Warp, however, to those disloyal to the Emperor - rumours that the Vindicators are planning an assault to raid and pillage the Imperium, and whomsoever stood in their way. With it, the prize of glory awaits any brave enough to attempt it. All those who would wish to partake in this would have to journey to the City-world of Krexis and to its capital star port; there, whoever was to be found would be given trials to see if they were... Worthy. Of fighting alongside the Vindicators, and of earning the spoils of War. The RP itself will primarily be Chaos-related; though that does not mean you HAVE to RP a Chaos-worshipper, so ones such as Iron Warriors, Night Lords, etc. - or those freshly turned away from the Imperium for selfish desires are entirely fine. If you are going to speak of a homebrew chapter or Legion, whatever that your Character has come from, please PM the summary of it to me before placing your character, so I can see if it's doable or not. CHARACTER SHEET - Name: - self-explanatory. "Class": What are they? A Sorcerer? Havoc? Raptor? etc. Equipment: What is their equipment? Don't go crazy with it, be sensible; no Chaos Lords or the like in this. And no Daemon-weapons, or terminator armour! Physical Description: How does your Renegade look like? Are they daemon-possessed, their armour turned to fleshmetal? Or a ragged, scarred being, forced to replace many portions with bionics? History summary: What has your character's backstory been? Were they a freshly turned Loyalist who saw that the Emperor was not deserving of their attention? Or a Veteran of the Long War, one of those who's fought in the Horus Heresy? Notable feats; What did they do to earn a visit to the Vindicators? Did they sacrifice their entire Chapter for selfishness? Or did they pillage Imperial cruisers, sending the abandoned hulks back on their course as a message whilst they enjoyed the slaves and loot from within? If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask away! https://discord.gg/qYxaWnG The Discord channel, for any in-depth chatter!
Name: Xorgal Class: World Eaters Rampager marine Equipment: Mark V power armor, twin falx blades (sheathed on his back), Excoriator chainaxe Physical description: Ugly and scarred face, the skin the color of a thick leather. One eye is missing and instead of a bionic replacement, he is left with a deep gap inside his skull, a skull behind which everyone could see Butcher's Nails for Xorgal rarely uses helmet (probably forgot that he has it). Armor is a half-broken mess of ceramite, almost half of it not being parts of the original set. Like armor, weapons are badly-maintained although the engine inside his axe still works, all of it giving Xorgal looks of a vagabond warrior although despite it, his movement is still fluid, his skill in killing honed for many millennia. History: Much of Xorgal past is gone, replaced by a red haze that never lifts. Those who would tell of his deeds are either dead or don't care, but if they would be willing to reminisce they would tell of a man who was one of those old members of the ancient Legion, the one who was among the first to be bestowed by the thing called ""gift" by his Primarch and the one among the first to be driven to madness by it. Butcher's Nails bit deep and exchanged everything he had for rage and that rage drove him onward through the last parts of the Crusade, into Heresy and the Long War afterwards. True age, homeworld, his character, all of that was irrelevant. The only thing that mattered now were more skulls for the Skull Throne. Notable feats: Xorgal is a Veteran of the Long War, an ancient legionnaire that fought on the great walls of the Imperial Palace itself and survived to tell the tale (well, not really tell because he doesn't speak much). He is an accomplished butcher, having no allegiance and traveling aimlessly from one conflict to another only to spill more blood and add another skull to his collection. All of this would probably make him a perfect mercenary, although a bit unhinged one. He had no real reason to join the Vindicators, other that their offer of another raid and another battlefield upon which Xorgal could slay more foes and try to lessen the pain he feels inside his brain.
So could a renegade who's a former Company Champion of a Loyalist chapter join or would that be considered too much?
Probably alright; just not to the Cato-Sicarius level of skill, but still. A vet. I would recommend getting onto the Discord channel, if only for the sake of convenience on chatting like this ^^; Easier to talk, rather than forums.
Name: Konstantin Skyruss Class: Dark Mechanicus Magos/Former Data Smith Equipment: Data Slates, Mechadendrites, Prehensile Dataspike, Servo arm, Omnisian axe, Arc pistol, Cybernetic body, Brutus(Kastelan Robot with Twin Powerfists) Physical Description: More machine than flesh Konstantin is barely humanoid with his body almost entirely consisting of writhing Mechadendrites that seem to always be doing something. Whether it be repairing a damaged one or constantly typing something into one of his data slates they always seem to be on the move. Under this was an armored cybernetic body protecting the very few vital organs left within him along with his multi eyed head. The mechanical eyes glowed a faint green as they too seemed to be in constant motion taking in everything that was around him. Over all of this he wore simply red robes to cover his form though he saw to modify the Mechanicus symbols to show his allegiance to the Dark Mechanicus. The same could be said to all of his equipment including his mechanical son Brutus. History summary: Once Komstantin was a humble datasmith of the Mechanicus using his mechanical childeren to enforce their rule and protect their holy places from foolish fleshlings. He and his childeren did their jobs well, annialating the primatives minded fools and even xenos when they dared the stand against the might of the Mechanicus. But eventually all the battle drew hard on the Father and his childeren as while they smashed and burned their enemies the enemies also fought back occasionally damaging the childeren. Of cousrse the father would vivisect the fools on the spot but it didn't change the fact that his childeren could be harmed. As their father he needed to do something, he needed to improve them to change them past what they had been designed to be from ancient past. But his brothers in the Mechanicus wouldn't let him, heresy they called it but he would still have none of this. Seeing no other choice he took his eldest by the name of Brutus and escaped onto a ship which he quickly comendeered from the fleshling pilots and took to the galaxy promising to come back to the rest of his childeren. Notable feats: He is a unrivaled talent in machinery especially the rare and controversial subject of robotics. Very few of his kind exist outside the Mechanicus's grasp not to mention he has a fully functional battle automata under his control. Fixing things is second nature to him and building things is his passion especially if it is automata or weapons. Not to mention his robotic unfeeling son could smash into an armored column and come back barely scratched. He's normally hold up in some kind of temporary lab fixing things and building small items in exchange for parts but could be persuaded into more permanent lodgings with the correct compensation.
Name: Fortissimus Class: (former) Novamarines 7th Company Champion Equipment: Curadh Pattern variant power armour, power sword, combat shield, bolt pistol. Physical Description: Standing at just over 8 feet tall Fortissimus is a little taller than even most other Space Marines, his rather pale body covered in tattoos representing his many victories over the course of nearly 4 centuries of constant war. Like many Company Champions the appearance of Fortissimus' armour echoes that of the chivalrous knights of long ago and has been meticulously maintained. However, though his armour (for the most part) still bears the same colour scheme as that of his former Chapter, all the icons that once adorned his armour have been scratched off, replaced with the sight of bare metal and a single blood red X and if one looks closely they can see slightly lighter patches of paint where Purity Seals had once been attached. History Summary: Fortissimus was once everything one would expect from a Company Champion. A deadly warrior who embodied honour and loyalty, his combat prowess helping to secure many a victory for the Chapter. As time went by however, Fortissimus began to resent those he called "brother" in particular the very captain he was often charged with protecting. Standing by him was no way to earn glory by doing battle with the greatest adversaries the Galaxy had to offer! It merely meant cutting down the next overconfident fool or mindless beast that had the delusion that it could best him and if this captain is such a weakling that he cannot take up arms and defend himself from such trifling foes and instead required someone else to do so then what good was he!? Eventually Fortissimus' annoyance grew to a point where he could bear it no more and so on the eve of yet another great battle he challenged the Captain, the very same brother whom he had spent decades defending, to a duel. The fight was long and arduous but eventually Fortissimus came out the victor, striking the Captain's head from his shoulders with a single stroke of his sword. Unfortunately for Fortissimus his fellow Novamarines were not as satisfied with the result of the duel as he (especially when you consider such duels between loyalists are often not lethal) and so he was forced to flee as his now former Battle Brothers turned on him for his treachery, evading or simply cutting down all potential opposition as he made his escape. Now Fortissimus wanders the Galaxy, constantly searching for a new foe that he may deem worthy of a proper and honourable duel and constantly finding them wanting. Notable Feats: Fortissimus' thirst for glory and impressive skill in the art of swordsmanship make him a deadly, if rather overeager opponent. He would come to join the Vindicators simply because it would offer him another opportunity to find a foe truly worthy of his attention at last as not since the duel in which he slew his captain has he found one that came even remotely close to earning that designation in his eyes.
I'm actually pretty interested in this, but I wanted to ask a few questions. First and foremost, I would like to know if I'd be able to play a Fallen Knight, as a character. If not, I have other concepts, but the idea of using a member of banished nobility is something I've been wanting to try.
If by "Fallen Knight" you mean an IMPERIAL Renegade Knight, then no. If not, feel free to PM me through Discord on what it is ^^; I'm gonna get some rest. HOWEVER. I do plan on starting up a Knight RP in the near future, albeit to the Loyalist side of things. I'm hoping to try and liven up a few RP's here in the community. The RP is essentially, nothing bigger than a dreadnought, and nobody more powerful than a Champion, and certainly not a Chaos Lord. I'm also tempted to put a limit on psykers / sorcerers, for the sake of not having everyone get slaughtered by their own spells or murdering half a continent. WE SHALL SEE!
Oh no, it was indeed a knight, so my bad XD Not looking for the power of course, just wanted to try pompous nobility armed with a war machine. Anyhoo, thanks for the info, I'll draft up a character and send it your way as soon as I can. Might see if a few of my more chaos inclined buddies want in on this. Thanks!
