Can anyone give a concrete number on how long the Dbash stun actually lasts? Tactical escalation patch notes said they "increased it", but to what? With a boltgun it takes 6-9 headshots to kill (non-elite) so that would require 1.1 - 1.6 secs of free time after Dbash. Also tbh we all know JPA's jump out of Dbash animation anyway.
You should give it more of a chance. I find the PC to actually be one of the best anti JPA weapons with it's spammable quick shot. Dodge and spam, repeat. It's also very useful for crowd control still and firing into cover. Also concerning JPA's immunity to stun. I have found it for more effective to just dodge backwards. If they go in for a strong attack and you are quick enough, it leaves them wide open for an easy kill.
If you counter properly you get that awfull fister stunned same as everyone else in game and you get free attacks he will take in the face. Big tip, your weapon break too fast? Use mastercrafted, thats the reason they exist.
Take the snap fire away and you can have it the same as the Kannon. At least you can fire multiple shots without the need to vent/reload. The Kannon DPS on vehicles is minimal with reload time factored in, and the projectile is so slow hitting a moving target can be tough.
I fink dat dem jump boyz shud not 'ave 'em. Wayz I seez it wen dem boyz take off der jus' gunna fly off t' duh right an' krash..dem zoggin fingz iz 'UGE!
Just played against a MacBeth and another JA. They can tell you that heavy is viable in combat. I was wrong though. Its not that bash is staggered when it hits a charge-up. Its when it hits released fist. So he cant move away from it while its releasing naimation plays.
I think 380 (2 second charge/2 before reload) vs 1600 (2.5 charge/1 shot before reload) is a sizeable difference in long range blasts and the kannon has very minimal travel time, biggest thing is you have to do is fire a bit up to make up for the grenade drop on a shot since a few pixels makes it a nice 200m ranged weapon. You also get fewer charged shots on the plasma as well so that 2 blast is 1/10th your ammo.
If I'm worried about JPA I lean more towards either a bolter (go to class) or on a heavy towards something like a heavybolter/AC/Plasma Deffgun (pretty fun though but eats ammo like a glutton). I'm really not trying to engage melee at their range unless I'm on my powerfist loadout, in which case haha mixups for days.
I didnt read the whole thread but no i dont think PF needs to be GA/TA only.We just need to "fix" the rps issues where the winner is punished if he didnt bring the heaviest weapon. And the JP(and raptor/stormboy) issues getting fixxed aswell !
