So apparently the "nerf" to the Ace Dakka didn't matter much at all... If you can set up in place where the enemy needs to go and can't get to you easily... well... Let's just say that getting a 30% boost in points from going on a streak and a %20 boost in points for finishing an opponent... It gets you places...
I'm glad the dev addressed this minor issue with equally subdued tuning. Any good weapon will become annoying if abused, which a few definitely did abuse the Kannon, but was never the cheese certain parties made it out to be. I was muckin' about in me 'oomie dizgize one match, Agnathio: first of all it took most of the match to cap A, there was the odd Kannon shot every once in a while. The uvver Boyz took up a brilliant defense of B: coordinated fire and on-the-spot Painboyz. We never even got across the bridge, there were even Shield Boyz and Plasma Deffgunz in the pipe! Out of that whole gun line, I only noticed 2, at most 3, Kannon Lootas. LSM still cried "Kannon spam!" cuz it was trending. It isn't spam if hardly a fraction of the team is using it.
Think when the LSM campaign comes around, they'll have any little nerfs comming too? I think I've become far too cynical to believe that they will. Edit: Maybe that's why their going last! So they get a week or two of hammering at every other faction who have had those little nerfs.
I haven't actually tried the cannon, but it felt a bit too strong when it instantly killed the target and everyone around him, so I think it's nice that they reduced the AoE damage without making the weapon completely useless
I don't even see them getting any games honestly. Might need to co-ordinate with the Eternal Battles mob to even have a chance at completing the campaign when 100% of the player base is trying to get 10 wins at once on the same faction and you can't even count on out of the loop LSM to match against.
The only teams they'll fight will most likely be die hard faction vets for the others. Atm I play about 4 minutes as chaos before just leaving match because I know when the match is pretty much just a huge waste of time.
Havent done much Ork'ing lately, but I saw someone saying Burny Choppa got stelf nurfed... TELL ME IT AINT TRUE LADS!
For the Ace Dakka, a boon of having the suppression removed is that it no longer alerts everyone around the target to your shots whenever you go and flank a group of them. Unless of course they're attentive enough to notice their teammates dying.
