some player are skilled other aren't. some learn from past game. some learn and some never learn: because some want to play how they want instead of how it's more effective. (because they want to have fun and they don't have fun winning). an organized ork guild can recruit f2w players and teach them how to play the game and be effective. and it's fun because it's lore friendly a good warboss can transform a mob of boyz in a lethal unstoppable force.
The moment you start thinking you're better than someone because they're free to play is often followed by your imminent visit to your re-spawn point
and assault marines aren't? oh, so neither are devastators i guess. nor are any of the eldar basic troops. specialization does not equate to elite. logic.
rift was a subscription game back when i played it, but most recently i played tera and the people who were freebies sucked,... badly. obviously there are exceptions to this, but if only 5% of freebies are as good as 30% of the people who pay for the game, the odds are stacked in favor of those who pay.
True but aren't the ork boys also on the same team as Loyal orc players who are paying because they love orks... taking the time to teach a new player makes them better and makes you better. The player who helped teach me tank dueling in Planetside 2 was very good and had only payed for a couple of things that weren't cosmetics for his tank. A few good paying players teaching f2P players (who I think we should call FreeBooters after the ork rogue trader/pirates ppl) could turn them into a good core that can accomplish alot with communication and taking the time to learn.
this is why i gave you the 5% number... probably 90-95% of freebies dont want to learn and never will.
Show me any proof of study on that. Nothing you're saying here is repeated in my experience. I haven't played Tera in ages but anywhere else 95% is erroneous and prejudicial in the extreme. I wonder if you know many because I play with at least 40 and they're either at or near the same proficiency levels of the whales in my circle.
most games nowadays on steam have a ftp option because i choose to play planetisde 2 without subscribing it doesnt make me a worse player than a subber.
