Funny how I actualy have read this but still.. is apotechary realy a Basic class when you think about it?
if ranger is an elite, then they better change it to pathfinder ranger...a regular ranger is not elite level. also, love the techmarine bit you had there. i think that as an elite class, tech marines could be allowed to use their servo harness as a weapon, as well as wield an omnissian power axe and bolt pistol or plasma pistol, or bolter, or plasma gun..etc, whereas as a basic class they would have to be blocked from getting much more than a bolter..
except that a boy WILL be inferior to a space marine. a free to play guy will be VERY hard pressed to take on an equally skilled space marine player, and will likely need two other friends working together with him to get the job done--3 vs 1. keep in mind guardians have both defender and storm variants, as well as having weapons platforms. plus, when we get into black guardians, they are more or less on par with dire avengers. they could easily combine the defender/storm guardians into a single class to help them stand up to the other classes, making them an eldar jack of all trades class, there to do whatever is needed most. they can carry a variety of weapons--flamers, shuriken cannons, plasma guns, etc.
Boys have always been weaker to marines except for close combat, where they attack slower I believe but also attack more. in other words a single boy should be a touch weaker than a space marine
