Little sad, can see both SM following light Shooter, heavy shooter, melee, heal... but Ork :( was hoping it would be a bit more unique like Eldar, but not like Eldar. Little busy so I haven't been able to read every page, but shoota, does that mean nob or not or is like any nob a hero?

I am spazzing out like a mofo from the excitement. To put it crudely but effectively.

    Big thank you.

make it a Rune Priest like the Eldar warlock and the Chaos Aspiring Sorcerer?

At first glance that could work..but:

Space Wolves are not supposed to be able to field so many rune priests (same for most chapters).

And then think of all the (rightful) drama..."SW's got a librarian, we want librarians also!..."

At last something somewhat substantial and worth my time props to the person that suggested Chaos tacticals be change to legionaries was going to suggest the same thing.

the problem with that is the space wolves would lose the hero class chaplain in effect as the the runepriest is meant to be both chaplain(hero) and apothecary(normal). so if they try and make it match the Tactical, Devastator, Assault, Apothecary the space wolves are ether gong to lose there normal apothecary role or there chaplain hero, both of which suck.

Unless they give us a Master of Runes of something along the line of Njal, more power deeper offensive powers...Jaws of the World Wolf anyone?

The Eldar Warlock and the Aspiring source fills up that same slot though, as does the painboyz...it could serve as a semi-healer,buffer, attack unit like I am guessing the Apothecary is...I really don't see any other logical way besides the ones that have already been suggested.

thinking about it how about a sort of compromise (lorewise) with the wolf priest. have the apothacary role filled by a wolf acolyte, a sort of space wolf med student with a chaplain'esc bent to them and then have the wolf priest be the full blown apothecary/chaplain hybrid hero class.

its a bit of a stretch i know but hay they have to get there medical training somewhere ;)

A makeshift class...I don't like it at all...then again, I don't like apothecaries being a basic class also...gameplay is more important than lore I guess...if it works and GW accepts it, who am I to judge?
I even more concerned with the decision to have a "healer class" as a basic class even more...and the possibility of triad class mechanics being disguised as "asymmetrical balance", to be exact..but until we actually see the mechanics, It's a concern, not a real problem.

The Space Wolves issue, on the other hand, is a problem, and worthy of some timely attention...

I was thinking something along these lines. It would be pretty damn weird but I don't see another way. I'm sure there will be a lot of discussion over it later on.
