Your argument essentially boils down because I don't have anything yet the solution isn't to ask them to divert some resources, it's to work on it at the expense of another factions development entirely.
That's exactly correct, because resources are not infinite - so everytime they make CSM some new high-poly shoelaces, or a pretty pink dress - that's a pretty pink dress they could have made for Eldar - that they gave their time/labor to you guys instead. You are miles ahead of production than we are - this game will not go live until Eldar and Orks are in - if you want this game to actually succeed it needs Retail money - and that means getting to a publishable state - and that means putting in non-CSM factions at some point. Otherwise this game can have the most beautiful CSM ever modeled - and go OOM (Out of Money) before they get to retail. Or, you can put other factions into this game - and then go back to making corsets for Khornates.
Except your faction is not the only faction. There are still 2 more factions that need added that are just as important. Both SM and Chaos are in pretty playable states right now. There is ZERO reason you guys should be getting sub-factions and skins when there are 2 factions that still need added. I'm not saying balancing and some fixes should stop but sub-factions should, I don't care if they are just a skin thats still time modellers could be working on the unadded factions that need 10x more work than the current ones. The twitch stream 100% showed where their proprieties are, which is making new and fancier stuff for SM and Chaos before other factions are even finished. SM have always been the poster boys for anything WH40k related with chaos right up there with them. I'm not sure why I expected this to be different. "heres 2 random pictures for eldar you guys couldn't care less about even though we promised you the whole faction, now we are going to go back to showing off new stuff for SM and Chaos because we don't care about your factions enough to even give you guys the courtesy of telling you something went wrong before the stream took place."
Gee your constructive and positive remark towards another member sure is valuable Sigvald! +1 for social skills! And what Warriant said, your faction isn't the only one. Release date of July and 2 factions aren't even in? Yeah, alrighty then.
And i'm not saying that my faction is the only faction, and I don't care about the skins, but our mechanics are plainly unfinished. Things aren't done for the marines that I would like to see hammered out while we can, and that's not to say the Eldar shouldn't get priority...they should, but not at the complete expense of the marines. My problem has nothing to do with high poly models or whatever bullshit you think I want, they are mechanically unfinished. How our assaults function in the broader scope of a battle is unclear, how our tacs work in the greater scope of a battle is confused by untuned weapons, sorcerers and apothecaries are locked into very specific and limited roles that can be rendered nearly useless. Like you say, if they don't get around to it now, they never will. I really don't like it when someone boils down my argument to 'crying' about cosmetics just because I don't agree with them, I really expect the Eldar fanbase to act more maturely then this. Instead, you sound like the bloody Wardinates two forums up. If you really think her response is justified, I don't think you can grasp the concept of social skills much less judge them.
Mean while we have ZERO idea how our factions even function, let alone look like, you have some issues we have literally nothing.
And I think you should get priority, large amounts of development time for a few months even, but I don't think Marine development should just stop with the problems it has.
Large development time for a few months? The game is slotted for release in July. And there's still Orks to do. Derp.
So what? You want large amounts of development time for a few weeks? Well hell if all the Eldar fanbase wants is walking greyboxes for launch then by all means.
