This deadline is set with publisher and I don't think they can easily push it with consoles now in picture. So it will most likely launch in 2016. Just won't be surprised if Orks and some other content will be pushed to post-launch.
Delays are pretty much acceptable when it comes of AAA titles nowadays. If AAA titles can get delays indefinitely I think bE can pull it off too.
Really disappointing honestly guys, I would have even been alright with some screenshots, anything to show them in game. Instead you hype up the big reveal then show us some drawings that we could pretty much see by just googling Eldar weapons.... This is now months past you said there were originally going to be in and it sounds like it will be another month. Mean while the poster boys get a shiny new sub faction along with chaos. I understand that sub-faction is easier to implement than an entire faction but showing them and not the Eldar was a massive slap in the face to all the Eldar players. We all see you guys being active in the forums for SM and Chaos related things and balance which is great to see but nothing in regards to the other factions. Not all of your players want to play those 2 forever. Next time try clarifying what you are actually going to show your players instead of hyping them up for the in game reveal of one of their favourite/favourite factions instead of showing some freaking drawings....
IMO - cease all production on SM/CSM stuff - and get to work on Eldar/Orks/Nids. You can play with SM/CSM later, games like this are never fully developed - so if you don't prioritize us - then you will never get around to us. There will always be some new power weapon you can give to Apothecaries, or some new grenade type, or another faction / color scheme you can add to CSM: that will remain as true now as it is a decade after launch. You can either make us a priority, and work on our factions before you work on the latest paint scheme for CSM, or you can be honest with us and tell us we're never getting our factions until you paint every different chapter/legion, and give them every item they ever had in every codex/book. You made a w40k game, you get to keep my founder money either way, I don't care about that - I'm happy to support you as long as the game lives - but don't bullshit us. Either there are Eldar skeletons or not, either there are Eldar paint jobs or not, either there are Eldar weapons or not. Don't tell me where you're going to stick the decals on a suit of armor you haven't made yet - make the suit of armor and then you can make it pretty. I'd rather see an untextured blob in a model editor and be told "this will be a Banshee, in like a year" - than be shown a napkin scrap with a Dire Avenger scribbled on it and a "we think the gemstones go here" arrow scrawled in the corner. Respectfully - I love you guys for doing this, I'm a fan, I need this game to succeed, but... fuck your paper gemstones.
I'm curious as to what happened to the whole "Factions are more important than sub-factions" comment.
For the love of god no, no, no, and no. I understand what happened to the Eldar is bad and it sucks, they should of got a showing today but the CSM/SM factions are so janky right now it's barely funny. There is so much unfinished and halfbaked in even how they are even going to function that the easiest way to get our playerbase to kill any goodwill is to just drop support. It's a skin, barely what i'd call a 'sub-faction'.
What more support do they need? You can run, you can shoot, you can chop - that's CSM done for now. It's still Alpha - you can get fancier animations and pretty pink dresses in Beta - but we deserve an untextured model of an elfy character with a gun in hand, before you deserve higher polycount shoelaces or whatever you're crying about.
