    don't be so excited.....

The force mechanic they talked about was about reducing the standard melee of a sorcerer, probably back to Dagger levels....and only bringing it up by using force and paying for it....

I guess they don't realize, that a force weapon as is, is already a power weapon, just better.... Not worse

God i hope no ! force weapons are one of the coolest in 40k, i thought the force mechanic was about , dunno, a force bar which you can imbue the weapon or something like that :(

Nope! What they were thinking was more like what they did to payboy and Apuhr The Carries. Removing standard damage on poison, and having to pay for it if you want to deal more dmg.

In the same logic, they want to re specialize Sorcerers, because they say we shouldn't be in par with Specialized melees....when it's utter BS, but anyway.

It will be more like a rework on spells and support mechanics. Bringing down melee capability, and developing "Force" specialization, so you can be as good melee, as you are now from a basic standard point.

So for me, that's the opposite of what Force should be.
Aspiring sorcerer's are good at melee, like any other melee specialized character aside Termi level.
Force makes them able to kill big monstrous creatures and tougher characters, and negating healing. so makes them even better.

Their vision, is that we shouldn't be meleeing anymore than a tatical or havoc should....Fail

I run my AS as a pure support class, with okay melee capabilities. Dumped all offensive spells and got the better armor.

One thing that might become an issue if they make the AS a offensive option could be that you would have a team full of frag hunters and very few healers.

Im seeing more and more of this, not really a fan of it. Not that its wrong, but its a symptom of the underlying problem, which is that the offensive powers arent rewarding to use.

Dont think they would ever allow us to remove heals from our Sorcerers, that would break the game design and wreck the faction metagame. They can however boost our offense, even if it means adding wargear the directly boosts our healing or our damage potential based on what we equip.

Also one thing that sometimes people need to do.
Check your surroundings and adapt to the situation.

Sometimes the best support you can give, isn't healing, but to actually barge in, stops some blows, or kill an attacker. Staying still while healing someone, sometimes is as good as doing nothing.

One of the reasons i like tzeentch heal. I dropped it, and go support the fight. Sometimes, i end up beeing saved, by the guy who i left reviving with the Boon.

The point is, that sometimes healing is not enough, and you need to step into the fights in melee, counter some blows, or stun someone to actually save your friendly. Take that into consideration.

Chosing offense over heal, or heal over offense, is not as straight forward as it seems
I've seen a lot of sorcerers using warp instability, while the friendly is getting his ass kicked, when they could have been healing, or steping in and stop the fight....

It is truly a tough nut to crack. LSM can go Wolf priest for better melee ( not so sure after the patch and what seems like a speed nerf to the crozius) and a more dedicated healer with range capabilities.

So what to do about the AS... Playing WP/Apoc and sorc, I feel like I am doing my healing role better on the AC ( Dedicated healer) than on the LSM counter parts. The Melee is okay ( might be a lot better if it is true that axe/maul got hammered) and the range healer in my opinion is wonderful. I think the problem might be, that do to current game balance, giving the AC more offensive powers, while being able to heal might be a bit overkill. Maybe once the game matures a bit and new classes are introduced, they could add some more supportive skills like AOE buffs or debuffs.

There is no comparison possible, to the amount of kills an apthecary can do at range, to any of the offensive powers we have.

That's all. There isn't remotely any chance of overkill. Specially after the spread reduction on bolters. That's as an offensive support as you can get. Added that you can easely melee with an apothecary nathercium.

I just came here to remind you that we are healers, all of us, not supports, healers, HEEEEEAAALERSSSSSS!
Please don't waste good loadout points for offensive powers; your team needs you!
It just doesn't make any sense to get a power that kills on a class that should heal, please guys I love u all but you have to do your job. :) or something really bad will happen
To brainwash help you with this truth; I made this song:
"H is the health you have to regenerate,
E is the energy you need for that I'm afraid,
A is all the healing you will provide,
L is the lust you feel when nobody died,
E is the eternity you will do this job,
R is the railing you will hide behind,
and S is the shit that has to stop;"

    So....do healing spells kill enemys?o_O

Reminds me of some old days back in Wolrd of warcraft.
When healers couldn't kill anyone....but 1 guy alone couldn't kill you either... So in order to survive, you need the enemy to get bored and leave...or stall untill someone else would step in, and kill it for you.

If, people will have to kill things for me....because i'm incapable of it. i want a red carpet. And a parade....And... A star with my name on it, at my door.

And....Everyone will address me as Lord....
