Oddboys; The Lore Of Orks Becoming Obsessive With One Thing Being A Path In Gameplay?

  1. I just don't think Flash Gitz is really an oddboy. A Flash Git is just a git with too many teef.

    A Flash Git is a Shoota Boy that has become obsessed with building and shooting the biggest, loudest, killiest Shoota imaginable. The fact that they have an obscene amount of teeth makes that possible, but it is the obsession to possess the best Shoota that makes them pay up to Meks to make Snazzguns. Otherwise they could spend their teeth on Mega Armor, a vehicle, a nice choppa..

  3. The thing about it is orks have two types of group-finding mechanisms built in; the genetic predisposition and the addictive personality. Certain orks have genetic predispositions to certain things, like painboyz and meks. These orks have knowledge of how to do their particular things hard-coded into their bodies.

    Then there's the specialty orks born of the addictive ork personaliy. Orks are fond of things, and when they find something they like they stick to it and it becomes their new obsession. This is how Burna boyz, Tankbustaz, and Stormboyz come to be, although Stormboyz are more the equivalent of Orky teen angst. In a way being a Stormboy often eventually evolves into being a Kommando if you live long enough, as they share that regimentation and order that 'normal' orks find to be repulsive.

  4. Yeah but that can describe the Loota as well. Where the Flash Gitz just use their abundance of teeth to build a killy snazzgun, the Lootas steal stuff to make their loud shooty deffgunz.

    I would love this it would be propa orky. I'm 'maging roight now it's Gud. Anyoo there are also other types of oddboy types that could be incorporated to add a but of variation to what an idividual ork is capable of I'm assuming the shoota boy tree would have odd variations due to most odd boys being in shoota or slugga mobs odd variations giving maybe access to unique items or abilities that take up room to keep with what the devs want such as if an ork is a brew boy let's say the ork can get an item called maybe 'flask a' fungus beer' which restores some health and reduces damage but makes it harder to aim by fogging up screen or let's say a yella boy which can buff nearby orks with an item/ability called prophet of gork and mork. Though I'm assuming the OP was referring to less obscure oddboys so I'll get back to what the OP may have been intending. It makes a bit more sense for shoota boys to upgrad to nobs then to flash gitz doesn't it maybe shoota skar boy or something of the like in between nob and boy just to give that much more incentive to level up ( assuming that nobs and such give dis beneficial factors as well because horizontal leveling and such ).
