Hi, this is a bit embarrassing, but does anyone know how to tell which subfaction is what? How do you tell what subfaction are you? Edit: I am asking because i have a brown checker board...but despite having a checkerboard i do not seem to be a Goff? (I am not having a black bandana in the store)
Checker boards are not a Goff exclusive thing tho. You're a ..a....ehm ...what was it .. blood axe ? .....yeah i think those were the brown one's
Its ok if you dont get it, only the guys really into orks can say the diference with the collors, the true diferences should come in their cosmetics/veteran showing for example how much gold you think a badmoonz nob loota can carry or how brutal and serious a nob slugga looks like, in fact it bothers me a bit that everyone gets dead shiny stuff, im pretty sure goffs are like "what da zog is dis?"
Oh, its not that i usually cannot tell them apart. I mean i know Blue, Yellow, Red.. are usually self explanatory. Blood Axes also wear red and camo... (which is why i didn't figure they were brown... brown is more Goff... i mean Goff are dark colored - black tho) But the heavy use of Checkers and them being brown and white.. compared to i guess black and white. Personally i really couldn't tell anymore. Blue and Yellow are easy, of course, no questions asked. And i have seen the occasional all Red Ork, which i thought might be Evil Suns or Blood Axes. But i was stumped in figuring out what i had picked as no selection in the cosmetics really stood out to me as particularly one thing or another. Anyway... thank you guys for helping me figuring out. Guess i don't need to wait for a faction change to get to change to Blood Axes... as i guess i am already one I am a little disappointed now, tho. Guess i picked the most boring paint-scheme in this game. I'd be inclined to sort of disagree with you on that one. I mean its not that others cannot use it, but i personally associate checkers with Goff.
My biggest disappointment was when i saw Blood Axes used brown.. I deleted and re rolled Death Skull....and most of my cosmetics are still brown..
When i created him, i thought that i might unlock more flashy things down the line. But now that you guys cleared it up and i am nearing Rank 6 on my Ork... i thought its time to invest in some parts, so i do not look like every other Ork on the field. Having a ganter through the store and there is a billion pirate outfits... its like someone wanted a Freebooter faction but decided to make everyone a Freebooter. I hope we get some better outfits in the future. I want more Red and Cameo for my Blood Axe!
Orks definitely got shafted in terms of subfaction uniqueness. All Orks look the same and have access to the same stuff even in Nob form which is a shame. Blood Axes need their camo, Goffs should be the only ones with as much checks and dagz as we have, Deathskulls need more looted stuff from the other factions. Evil Sunz and Bad Moons are kindve well off though, what with the fire pattern stuff for ES and all the Dead Shiny stuff for BM
