I agree, but to be honest that's what I feel we are going to be getting, simply a "kill X number of enemy faction" for a requisition reward or something along the lines of that but I really hope that's not the case.
I don't see the patch as "delayed" so much as "stuff that should have been done in beta so it's already really late". If the idea is that it's better to wait until the patch is good and ready than it is to release a patch that is broken and not ready, I would suggest that might be the most apt example of what a complete lack of self awareness looks like. Patch not ready? Better delay it. Game not ready? Ship it! 30% of the people who bought the game launch it once a month. The corollary that 70% of people who bought the game have deleted it (or don't even launch the game by accident once a month and can't be bothered to delete it) less than one month after release. Also, this isn't a "small shooter". It's an "MMO", Nathan. You keep telling people it is an "MMO". Do you know what the opposite of "small" is, Nathan? It's "massive". "Massive" is the opposite of "small". Do you know what the first "M" in "MMO" stands for Nathan? It stands for "massively". Something cannot be both "massively" and "small", Nathan. Those are opposites. They have mutual exclusivity. Can we just agree one one genre for the game? You like "Massive" right? How about "Massive turd"?
Oh it's you again. "We need shit pushed out at rapid speed!" *in the same breath* "They need to be testing patches on UAT for 3-5 days before putting a buggy patch on live!" You can't have it both ways.
Can you do anything other than be condescending to people on these forums who you don't agree with? And I have never said those. All I want is the UAT to be used, and for the devs to also put more effort in getting the game updated. The updates don't need to go on the live server immediately. What they need is to be put on the UAT more regularly, and to give us the tools to actually test stuff on the UAT. If we got more frequent updates on the UAT, there'd be a way to actually see progress being made. That, and the updates may actually not be broken by the time they go live.
I don't think that's what Braken meant. I think Braken just wants patches to actually be good patches, and tbh he's sorta right, everytime a patch has been delayed it still came out broken and didn't work the way it was supposed to even after being delayed to be worked on further. That being said I do agree with you Dread, we have to give the devs time to get things sorted out but not every patch should be broken on release especially when being delayed.
What's broken in this patch? I don't see anything broken yet. I don't recall anything being broken in last patch either, just the same RPS bugs we've had since forever.
Well this is more hotfix then patch. Can`t see any new content in it. But I agree with Braken... pushing updates straight for live servers is not a good idea. Problem is I have no idea if there is anyone playing on UAT now to test it.
well some delaying of updates are understandable. I have experiences of waiting MOUNT&BLADE BANNERLORD. it's been 6 or 7 years maybe? and still waiting. I'm just sick about Nathan's noisy mouth. not some delayed plans..
For God's sake - stuff gets pushed to UAT all the time. There's bits on there now that haven't been on live. Chill out neckbeards, it'll come when it comes and the longer it takes the better it should be.
