Have you actually TRIED to play on the UAT? I used to run Netflix on top of windowed UAT server join attempts because I know it'll take a least the duration of a show to find a match. Unfortunately, it's usually an empty server with just me or maybe a single player on the other team. That's not conductive to testing character advancement. If they give us access to plasma cannons, reaper launchers or rokkit launchers, I might try to document as many invisible walls as I can. I'm not going to waste hours of my life just to have the opportunity to maybe unlock one weapon to start testing. Giving us an option to pick the map to test on would be nice too. Speaking of invisible walls, dear god...I thought the complaining about them were overblown until I tried launchers on Agnathio. Try to shoot off some ramps? Invisible wall. Try to shoot through some windows? Invisible wall. Try to thread a buttress? Invisible wall. Try to shoot a transport 10 meters away with zero obstructions in between? Invisible wall.
Actually I haven't, as I'm no founder and haven't had the time yet to figure out how to play on founders (brent said it's open access now, isn't it?). But what you say sounds like an argument to me.
I can imagine the devs whispering in excitement to each other in the offices: hey, you heard it - it's OBB, our secret weapon, we got it now bro, we're gonna make it - yeah
I'll be honest. I didn't pre-purchase the game months ago because I wanted to help Alpha test it. I pre-purchased it because Nathan said it was 20% off while in Early Access and I was pretty sure I was gonna play it anyways.
And what's the point? If you up the gain, then data you get from testing it is worthless, since it's not consistent to how things are on Live server. Findings bugs with progression is possible if we just get a lot of AP and Requisition, enough to unlock everything. Having to grind on UAT is the reason some weapons like Hunter's Mark were never tested.
