Optimization Bug fixing Balance "Make the game run, make the game run like it should, and make is so users want to run it." We, myself, you. We're all in a shaky situation with EC, its unsettling release, and the blow back. Honestly, I believe EC can make it, it has some potential, but don't get me wrong, currently it's in a bad place. Obviously we want to play a good warhammer40k game, the devs just need time, money, and will, but I think a lot of the direction, and a lot of the community have their mindset in the wrong direction. We need to focus on the basics before we can ask for more, make a good foundation before we all walls, make things work before we add to them. 1.Optimize the game. EC has been running AWFULLY since it has been released on steam. This is unacceptable, and no longer should we or the devs brush this off, later has come. Optimize the damned game so people can play without issue, half the negative reviews on steam are due to the game being near unplayable. 2.Bug fix the game. As a programmer I understand that bugs are a constant, you're expected to do work within a limited time frame, with various issues that you couldn't account for or don't have time currently to fix, but there's been some bugs that have persisted since EC dropped on steam, for example the audio displacement bug where you somehow get another user's audio. 3.Balance the game. Balance, like bug fixing is going to be another constant, which will require time to gather statistics, compare them, and get community feedback. I want to iterate that you CAN'T balance very well when your game is unoptimized and buggy. This is one of the main reasons why the Eldar faction are doing so well is because they benefit of how poorly the game runs, and how buggy the game is, without the ability to run a working product, the Eldar faction may find themselves in a bad situation where the game gets optimized and bug fixed as well as a nerf based on that version of EC. So, I'm begging you as a community, to go down this list, and beg/ask the devs for O.B.B. We can't get terminators, or campaigns, a new faction, or anything else exuberant without O.B.B. Once again I'm asking YOU THE READER, to remember O.B.B. TL;DR Here's a picture, because people like pictures. And for fucks sake unlock everything on UAT, so we can test everything. Obviously we won't catch or be able to adequately test things if we're required to invest time just to try something on a testbuild that resets every week, seriously.
I really wish they would fix spawning. Every time I spawn im pointed towards the edge of the map and not the main battle area. Constantly getting stuck on the terrain and finding/firing into invisible walls is also becoming a real problem now that im starting to play the game more than a hour a month. Nearly every 10-20 feet there's a rock jutting out of the ground that catches your foot and stops your run. Also, are the eldar supposed to be able to fly forever or is that a bug? Every game I play against them I see half the enemy team lazily gliding towards us lol They always seem so peaceful and serene until they open fire or stab you to death. Regardless, I want a good wh40k game, and I'm sure you guys who paid for EC also want a good wh40k game.
Unless you play Torias of course or Maggon A. You get spawned basically right on top of the capture point, because nobody ever changed that. This also needs adressing. Not soon(TM) but now. It's after launch, it's about time
Some of them are, some of them are talking about cosmetics, whilst some of them are asking the devs when terminators are coming. I just wanted to tell everyone, even if they already know, just how freaking important O.B.B is.
O: Many people have been talking about optimization throughout the whole Early Alpha stage, the game is still not optimized t launch B:There used to be gigantic threads about bugs, many of the bugs were squashed, but it feels like whenever they squash 1 bug, 2 new bugs appear. B: Ohhhh, i can't remember the amount of time where i talked about this, from constructive to pure hate speech (yeah i was salty af). I got the ultimate foul-proof feedback of "Its just an Alpha bro! they will focus on the balance efore launch!11" As you can see, the game is still not balanced at all. The devs judge what is OP or not via data that only they can see
