Yeah when the LSM manage to piss me off a certain Screwit named marine comes a calling. Turns out he is super suicidal and doesnt think much of transports.
It works the other way too. Unfortunately. We just won a game against LSM on Torias because someone playing as Eldar, with a Chaos Guild tag written in front of their name and a very Chaos-y name after it, wedged a transport into the front of the point, exploiting the grav bug and mowed down everything that moved. I know the name because they ran me over while doing it. The marines downed it before I could respawn as a Dragon and do it myself but it emptied the point and it was taken easily. It was not an honorable way to win but it was a win and they all add up. (I would like to add I have no way of knowing if this is a genuine Chaos player or someone trolling by playing Eldar with a Chaos name or what have you but there you have it.)
I have to say that the quality of Eldar players recently seems to have dropped off a cliff somewhere.
Yeah I do see the Eldar player quality dropping drastically. Before, I remember sending a separate squad to go cap a point, in order to drag a few enemies to there (or a lot if the team is bad) so that then us the big team can cap the other point easily. Now it's just point-swarming and being dragged around like sheep... Or not knowing where they're going at all, I mean, if you're in medusa capping B and the only point left that they haven't got yet is C, and they're not trying to defend B, where will they go? Easy! C! But even if I ping it 192071 times, no one cares, except for a couple of guys which obviously aren't enough. When I get a good Eldar team though, god damn, a full team of founders, vets, kool doods like these, instead of post-release newbies, we just steamroll everything in our paths, guild or not. Like seriously, there's nothing that can resist a good, tight-knit Eldar team. Yesterday I played with a pub team and we steamrolled DLB and another ork clan so badly that they seemed to not know anything about the game. That's true Eldar vet player skill for you. It's very very unlikely to get one of those teams nowadays but eh... Still nice when that happens
How are eldar op? Same durability as space marines statistically in toughness AND armor, but more mobile with weapons that have a lower TTK. Yep sounds about right.
