With the load out points, I've never heard mention of a champion but you are referring to what is known as Veteran(LSM)/Chosen(CSM). The same thing for Orks and Eldar haven't officially been announced yet but assumption, my own anyway, is Exarch (Eldar) & Nobs (Orks). I mention it earlier in this thread here. The "time limit" would be for as long as players can stay alive. (There's also another thread talking about progression and economy here).
The "Ork Boss" would be Warboss right? That could only be a Hero class since it's big, strong, tough, shouts the loudest and would have a buff/debuff associated with it, probably an aura & on kill/execution.

If we're going by the Codex Astartes, it's actually Scout -> Devastator -> Assault ->Tactical -> Veteran

After looking at the 6th edition, you are indeed correct. However, my posts reason was to refute the idea that Devastator marines are 'fresh recruits' which they are not. However, I will follow up my intial post by putting in:

"Not all Space Marines make the transition. Some demonstrate a talent of obsession for a particular aspect of battle that, while immensely valuable in its own way, would prove a liability in the fluid role of the tactical squad. Other battle-brothers simply lack the mental flexibility to embrace the adaptability of the Tactical Squad's role." - Space Marines: 6th Edition.

And so, it comes down to said, individual, marine and has little, if anything, to do with their position as a tactical, assault, or devastator marine.

Scout aren't full ledge Marine yet, except the Veteran Marines who prefer to stay as Scouts, other Scouts don't get all the implants, that's why they're not fully recognized. And when a Marine passes the trial as a Scout and earns his power armor, most of them are formed into Devastator Squad, the only exception is Space Wolves. The way it work is that the more battle-hardened marines are always in Tactical and the less experienced ones are in Devastator, that's the structure. But there are always exceptions, if a SM wants to stay as a Devastator, he has every right to do so. A Scout Marine is actually not formally recognized as a full SM yet.

Firstly, a Nob is a veteran class, they have to be unlocked and paid a small amount of resource to play, with no cool down of course. An Ork Boy has been stated multiple times to be different, no weaker than other faction classes. That's one thing I want to correct you there.

Secondly, yes, Stormboyz is a cult in Ork society, but a Nob in Stormboyz cult is called a Storm Nob or Stormboyz Nob, in the latter it serve as an adjective.
  5. Oh i totally support this! waaaagh!!
  6. that would be P2W
I would make boyz like small nobs
smaller hit box = less HP
this and the load out limitations are the only difference

and the last thing you describe is the veteran system
    pay to overload your loadout

True but the the Spacewolves break that trend as their scouts are chosen from veterans, the youngest wolves are the bloodclaws and the oldest the longtooths.

So basically no premium player is going to want to play Orkz then, and all of your Ork fan base, myself included will be asking for their money back as they won't stand a chance against any of the other faction with the strength/power of their base unit and they virtually have no incentive what so ever to play on the Ork faction unless they are F2W because you all seem to be advocating very little difference between a premium Ork and a F2W Ork....

At the end of the day boyz are weaker than Space Marines, Chaos Marines and Aspect Warriors, which are the base units of the other 3 factions, I can understand the F2W playing as a boy and dangling an incentive in fron t of them to buy the game but if a premium Ork player cannot go toe to toe with the base unit of any other faction why would an Ork fan buy the game?

In terms of power/strength in the Ork faction you have boyz-Nobz-Meganobz-'ardboyz (skarboyz)-Bigmek-Boss-Warboss. Plenty of scope to chose from, we already know that the Meganob is the terminator equivalent elite and the 'ardboy cybork is a hero. Even if they don't call it a Nob bE will have to seriously upgrade the boy to make it worth playing as a premium Ork player or you won't get any premium Ork players.

The Ork faction isn't a F2P faction, it's a full faction on equal footing with the rest of the factions and the F2W part is a limited and weaker version of that faction.

It's not really pay to win, if all premium players get to play Nobz (essentially they've paid for it, just like others have paid to play Eldar, Chaos or LSM) and a F2W players wants to play on an equal footing as the Ork player, buying the ability to unlock things and buying the ability to play as Nob, like the premium player, is nothing more than buying the premium part of the faction piecemeal instead of paying for the whole game.

Essentially like saying "you enjoyed your F2W, and want to play a space marine, do that for $15 instead of buying the full game. The other factions remain locked".

I think people need to start seeing the Ork faction as a premium faction, like the other 3 and the F2W a limited version of it as opposed to seeing Orkz as the "free faction" and all the premium parts as unbalancing upgrades.
  9. it doesn't matter
if f2w boys are not equally strong like the premium orks then everyone who try the game will scream p2w
and this is a chain reaction which can't be stopped
so we simply use the old side grade conzept for da boys so they are not weaker but different

The differences between F2W and Premium you say? There are some that has been mentioned by the devs:
    - F2W won't have Stormboyz and Pain Boyz
    - F2W won't be able to spawn tanks
    - Their classes are restricted.
    - They won't have access to the same amount of tools and weapons.
    - They can't spawn Elites, Heroes or Veterans.

Other than that, they're the same as Premium Boyz. I don't see why you want all premium players to play as Nob. Because we have to make every basic classes for premium players become Nob, which is pretty weird. You pay 40$ to play as every faction, not just Ork, if you just want to play as Ork, wait for Premium Ork Pack to be released then get that instead. And stop going on and on about Ork Boyz are weaker than every other classes, because technically, they're not. Beside, it's a game, it has to be balanced to be fun. You say a Nob is only as good as a Space Marine? Have you heard of DoW series? There are Nob Squadz in there that can give every other factions elites a run for their money.

Just see the Premium Ork as an Ork that has more teef, so he has access to more equipment, therefore he has more chance to kill enemies and becomes a Nob. Pretty lore-fitting, don't you think? BTW, I look forward to playing as a Boy, and feel that starting out as a Nob immediately is lame.
