  1. this is something that people need to understand.
however, nobz should do a BIT more melee damage...just a bit...

And being F2W their main limitation would be in the fact that they cannot unlock equipment and weaponry through XP unless they buy the ability to unlock certain things through the RT shop.

That would depend on the weapon I assume, if you're talking a choppa, sure that's based off of the strength of the unit that's wielding it, but get yourself a Power Klaw and it doesn't matter who's arm it's grafted onto.
  3. this bit could cause P2W rage
so why include it if it is just a bit^^

  4. because nobs are stronkr...
uh...orks believe the nobz are stronger. thus power klaws on nobz are stronger than ones on boyz. plus i've NEVER seen an ork boy with a power klaw.
  5. 1. doesn't fix the crys of P2W that will arise saying they are stronger

    2. Obviously you never seen an Ork boy loota dat stole a power claw from a Warboss....

before he got shot, crushed, stomped, and head put on a pole.

That in combination with the fact F2W will give them a lot of troops in their army. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I expect the Orks to be a green tide that will take over the world (of Arkhona). As a player in the less populated Eldar faction (so far) this is scary with sprinkles of more scary.

There is no reason why they should be, even reflected in the TT an IG captain with a powerfist does the same damage as a terminator with a powerfist, which does the same damage as a dreadnought with a powerfist.

An Ork Nob with a power klaw does the same damage as an Ork Nob in Mega Armour with a power klaw, which does the same damage as a killerkan with a power klaw, which does the same damage as an Ork dreadnought with a power klaw.

I know I'm going to hear "but that just the TT interpretation" but it's a standard that's been set for years, choppas, standard combat weapons and chainweapons do damage based on the unit's strength, power weapons do their own damage regardless of who is holding them.

  8. Pretty sure Power Fists/Power Claws are Sx2. So an IG Captain with a Power Fist has S6, a Terminator with a Power Fist has S8 and a Dreadnought with a Power Fist has S10.

Also pretty sure that Power Weapons aren't a set strength, but are rather S+1 or S+2. So yes, the user's strength still matters in TT with Power Weapons.

Hmm maybe a change in the later TT editions then? When I used to play all power weapons had standardized strengths. A powerfist was always str10, a chainfist the same but did multiple damage points.
  10. Actually now that you mention it I seem to recall the change being relatively recent (recent meaning last 3 or 4 editions, can't quite remember which.)
