  2. I really hope all elite units cost some special currency to use, otherwise people will be running them all the time.

    Every hour of normal non special unit play, grants you one life of special play. You only earn these points while a non special unit. So it's like a super charge you can save up, maybe you can save a maximum of 3 lives or charges up.

    Otherwise a few months in you'll get your STO all admiral syndrome, or your battlestar galactica everyone in a huge ship syndrome. An enemy force full of chaplains and nothing else, for example.

    but the spam issue you described can be easily solved by adjusting costs and gain of resource
    and cooldown
  4. I hope so, it's always my concern in systems like these. Like the tank spam at the start of planetside 2 for example till it was nerfed a bit. Eve Online handled it well, giving small ships a good role too, as another slightly abstract example.

    Anyway even more focused on the thread, I hope Nobz are included as a special unit, maybe not of the value of some of them, but still costing something.

    I agree they are a leader of lesser orks. In table top they have worse armor and terrible range and accuracy but they have more wounds (in my mind for the game "hitpoints") So I believe they could balance it out fairly straight forward. Ork boyz only win in large numbers. Trust me I lose about 10 boyz getting across the table to get at 10 space marines. I know, use trukks. Anyway, to my point Nobz are really the space marines of the orks while boyz are the guard of the orkz. Get what I mean? Because humanity has so many different branches of forces the orks mix all of there forces together and they lack any kind of "civilian" population since all orks fight. SM and CSM are an all elite army. CSM can pull in traiter guard or cultist for blobs and SM fight alongside Imperial Guard all the time. The designers could one day include these factions as free to play options.

    I strongly believe since the free to play crowd will come and go like the wind. The pay to play crowd like myself and most of us on here want to pay for this game and play it as an Ork! What better way to reward us then to make us a little better at going toe to toe with our SM and CSM counters. Its not pay to win anymore than people buying the game to play as space marines. Its just if you play for free, play as a runty ork and join the blobs. The dedicated fans can lead from the front!! Riht An Propa!!!

    premium orks BETTER FUCKING be on par with other races.

    BRENT ELLISON: Orks are pretty freeform so we’re not sticking too closely to the names of the tabletop units – for example the heavy weapons character is just an ‘Eavy (name subject to change) which, depending on his loadout, COULD adhere pretty closely to the Loota identity. Also, Nobz are actually the elites – everyone plays as Boyz most of the time. It’s just that free ork accounts can ONLY play as Boyz."

    Sounds nice, but I really hope Flash Gitz won't replace Lootas. Sure, Snazzgunz are snazzy, but they just don't match up with the good ol' Deffgunz.

  9. as brent said they are 'eavys so they won't get replaced by a less versatile class
    cause it doesn't make sense

    I'm a bit disappointed
    I would have loved if the orks with money would be da nobs
    only difference should have been that we are around 20% huger (to compensate the bigger hit box we would also need to attach some extra HP)

    I don't agree with the money issue, that would kind of cut out the option of including Snakebites. I'm also hoping that there exists "Nob only" equipment, lore wise only Nobz have access to thing like 'eavy armour and powerklawz.
