Okay guys I'm just saying I want nob to be the p2p putty class like tacs for space marines there will be plenty of boyz so don't worry but yea I want to see variety of nobs like a shoota nob a melee nob a so an so nob and On and on nob but yes I was wondering what the community/devs think and to explain the large number of nobs and not break lore say the waaaagh has murder death killed their way through 2 whole systems or something so yea just saying I don't want them as an upgrade or as character progression
I think that most Orks, if they don't end up dead, grow into Nobs. MekBoyz grow into Big Meks. Essentially I think it should be a earned title/ability through experience. For Orks...experience means growing in size..means becoming a Nob. I think it should be an earned thing through the game somehow rather than something you start out with. Anyboy can play the boyz....you got to be good at kill'in and liv'in to be a nob...
da meganob is like the terminator a class with cooldown and require ressources i could imagine normal nobs as a squadleader only class or as an advanced class of the basic classes (the advanced class would cost ressources too)
Paid Ork players (and all other subscription players) apparently unlock further down the Progression Tree for their class. So maybe far down enough, subscribed players can become Nobz, while F2Pers remain just Boyz. Like an upgrade to Health, and Abilities or something.
What do we know? We know that Boyz will be F2P but with limited unlocks and progession. Meaning you can play them and have fun, unlocking say upgrades and devoplment in their Class Tree, but not getting to the end of that tree or moving past it. With microtransactions (big word for an Ork thread) or the full purchase for the game you should be able to play as Nobs as a regular class. I'm assuming that the Eternal Crusade Orks will be operating under a full Waaaagh. Which means millions-billions of Orks. To assume that there are thousands of Nobs is a safe bet. Now we have Range and Melee Nobs, and going of a DoW mentality where they are in smaller Squads it should balance out. Nobs act as the sergants for Boys, Nob Melee, Nob Range, and hell a Nob jump pack all work. Nobs also are retricted to smaller Squads for balance. Now assuming that as a Boy we can also play as those above basic classes (Boyz melee, range, jump) but in large squads. You do less damage but there are more of you. That will be the players decision as to if they would rather play as a Boy or Nob, there are positives and negatives for both. A good Ork player could very well do better in a Squad of Boyz rather then Nobs. And like Savji said Meganobs would be a termie-like class that you should have a cooldown/resource cost, with you having unlocked that ability. Personally im more interested in how they will work Warbosses into the game...
i think a warboss will be a hero class means higher conditions then the mega nob or maybe the warbozz will be some kind of spawnable NPC oh and i dont think that your squadsize will be different depending on which class you play
I think your right, hero class it should be. There could still be a few of them but they should be rare and hard to unlock, as in having to be on the War Council type hard. NPC wouldnt make sense, why rob players of that chance to play as a Warboss Why shouldnt it be different? Horde armies have large squads because they are weaker, smaller squads have stronger members in them to help balance survivability and damage output, makes sense for them to be different??
cause as a squadleader you can invite anybody to your squad regardless which class he plays or which loadout he uses
Scoure? I was under the impression that Squads would be Class based. As in if im in a Assualt Squad i expect everyone to have a jump pack and main melee loadout. Wouldnt make too much sense to have mixed squads from a leadership point of view. At the Squad level it may work to have 5 Dev members and 5 assualt members, but why mix a squad when those could be two seperate fully operational and class specific squads?
cause they dont want to force someone to play a certain class just to be allowed to play with their friends in the same squad i will try to find a source to that quote from my quesdex answates its from the steam QA with steven lumpkin
