Apologies, Araghast...I didn't intend to mislead or offend. My comments about excluding the Tau for lore reasons were a slightly barbed reference to the train of arguments that rise up around not making Tyranids or Necrons playable for lore reasons. It wasn't intended to be taken seriously (my oblique reference to being tongue in cheek was just, well, too damn oblique). For the avoidance of doubt, I'd personally like to see all of the TT races implemented as playable in the fullness of time. Yes, including Tyranids. Tau wouldn't necessarily be at the top of my list, but I sincerely hope they appear in Arkhona in due course.
Didn't the Tau and Imperium fight each other very often I don't see how that would be a likely alliance.
There's still one race they didn't unlock yet. It could be Tau, Tyranids or Necrons. I think the most likely is Tau though. Personally, I think all the 40k races should be playable, but apparently they're either being lazy or trying to nickle and dime us by saving the others for expansions.
Well it's an each to their own situation I guess; I like the concept of the Tau but have never been a fan of them visually so I sort of sit the fence here. Personally I'd of dolled them up on the communism angle and made space ruskies.
No.Tau. Ever, in this game, pls. They just dont fit the grimdark wh40k ethos in my book. I dont like them, I dont like their background, I dont like their visual presentation, I believe them poorly thought out...even if I liked to play them in DoW1. But they just feel like a general high-tech sci-fi race/faction. What a pitty no-tau-scenario wont likely happen.
