Eldar were the only one to have access to arguably the strongest melee class in the game. Now Orks do too, considering they also have stealth and can take power axes and fists, and vastly improved pistols. But Eldar also are given the weakest possible melee in the game. The Howling Banshee's class defining ability that was supposed to make the HB as viable as a shield does GA or jetpack does for JPA does not actually do shit. You have to pay 100 LP and use up your armor/health/lifesteal gear slot to use the ability semi regularly, and it still only lasts <5 seconds, pay exorbitant amount for stamina gear with terrible iframe, distance covered, recovery and dash-attack speed, have half the EHP of a GA and charge head on into Bolter fire with no stealth or flight mechanic or a shield of any kind. And you think adding an Autarch as a short ranged combatant with no scream, no wings and no stealth is a GOOD idea? Whereas other factions have autocannon, stalker Bolter, ace dakka and Kannon. And what do we have. The starshot reaper launcher... Atrocious. Give us the Uldanethii Long Rifle..I don't give a shit if it goes on a Ranger, an Autarch or got damned Illic Nightspear himself. Just give us some way to counter 13 heavy Bolters crowded in a corner or stalker Bolters/autocannons and plasma cannons and healers on walls overlooking points. Its ridiculous.
I've already gave up. Currenly uninstalled the game. BE politics is LSM has 60% population so we need to keep them happy. You cannot play with only marines, it will not work, game is going downhill no brakes, and i dont give a fuck anymore, they deserve bankrrupt.
I planned to do a Flying Tempest Autarch... I'm so disappointed A Autarch system (entire aspect arsenal and combination) would have been OP for this game, but with some limitation it could have been implemented... We would finally had a flying melee (without sky dive but whatever) and other original combination.
As a Chaos player, I am here to offer my deepest condolences to my Eldar brethren over the loss of your Ranger. I know we don't get on, 1 of our gods wants to do horrible things to your souls, but even THIS is too much for my dark corrupted heart.
I don't understand why you are all so upset. What would the npc faction need an invisible sniper for, anyway?

While I agree that the Autarch as in the concept art is fucking terrible, I also dont think our only legitimate long ranged option should be snipers. We have an entire aspect dedicated to the act of accurate long ranged armour piercing fire. The problem is that they've made them the least accurate class in the fucking game. I dont think rangers nor autarchs are a particularly good fit, but I'd rather take an autarch as I envision them over a ranger as I envision them. The truth is, they'll probably both be a disapointment and we probably won't be using either because our most viable classes are dire avengers, warlocks and swooping hawks. With of course fire dragons as anti-tank. Neither hero offers the utility, flexibility or strengths those aspect warriors offer and what makes them useful.
you never really know they might deliver a melee elite for LSM and ranged for chaos, ork and eldar soon. who knows but it would be good to have two for each faction
That's a little too optimistic. By now we should've had Terminators, two handed weapons, dual wielding, more maps, mandiblasters, etc. But so far out of the 'expansion every couple months' we've had... Fort Ronan, something I never play because I have fortresses turned off, and our first batch of Elites, one of which has been switched out for the Warlord instead. Unless by "soon" you meant "maybe some time late next year".
