anyone that complains when a game is updating or patching deserves to banned from internet gaming and forced to play single player games the rest of their lives. No joke. Im sorry would you prefer the devs come to your door with a usb or cd and say "Hey friend, here is the update for today" and ask you to install it? The amount of people that take a shortcut to thinking in these forums(especially steam forums) is ludicrous.
That's not possible, not with how server structure is made for EC. You're thinking of traditional region separated clients, that's not EC and even if it was, patches HAVE to be deployed, smoke tested and approved during office working hours, which translates to EU prime time. In fact, what your suggesting doesn't make any sense for structure like EC, but for deeper explanation you'd have to ask some sys admin.
