Our game room probably won't be around for long. My friend is getting a room mate and the spare room has all the Warhammer stuff. I think I can squeeze some table into my tiny apartment, or we can kick the MAgic players out of the back room in the local store. I got my first shipment of Eldar stuff. I didn't know ranger were finecast. The rangers, Illic, and some Crimson Fist conversion stuff (Because they look close enough to Imperial Fists) are all sitting in a cup of water ready to be scrubbed then primed. I've mostly been working on my Shrike model and he's coming along well enough but I don't have any super glue right now.
I just discovered the Eons of Battle Youtube channel. Tons of great stuff for 40k but mostly stuff like how to make bases.
I have been watching tons of tabletop matches on youtube, trying to learn the game haha. I have been searching eBay for the rulebook and some Codexs. Hopefully will have soon!
Youtube has a huge amount of battlereports and stuff. I personally watch mainly Miniwargaming (likely the most professional batreps but still some hilarious ones too), Bluetable painting (not the most professional batreps but still fun to watch), Striking Scorpion 82 (some amazing armies and good, narrative battles) and SkaredCast (Every batrep has dark eldar!) /end advertisement
A lot of my friends and I watch them. The only problem is that they have some house rules and my friends assumed they were by the book. Comes up during the inevitable rules arguments.
Good to know, thanks! I like StrikingScropion82, as Mngwa pointed out, excellent armies and awesome narrative.
Is there any grand tournaments and stuff going on? I am thinking of getting into this after I finished the horus heresy series and a couple of other books. I will pick up my 4th book of the horus heresy series after work today(at this rate, I read 1 book/7days), and I get them to preorder book number 5. Also I started reading Nightlords Omnibus as they entice me. Probs start out with Nightlords if it does not change coming 2015.
I wouldn't try a big tournament right off the bat. Find a gaming store close to you and see if you can sit in on a game.
