Use a test model, and be ready to strip it, odds are you won't get it right first time. Is your brush internally mixed? Airbrushing is a whole different ball game, the speed and control you can exert is better than what a brush can do. Some folks use them for almost everything. I use them for the base layers and undercoat, before I start to drybrush and ink the models for detail.
Gonna go back to Tau the next months. They seem to be more tactically flexible. But I wont field riptides. Hate those big units.
SO! Went to that Hobby Store with the Wife today. The Owner was incredibly nice and helpful. Had a good stock of Warhammer Fantasy and 40k, with reasonable prices. My wife and I are going to buy the rule book and decide our armies, and get the Codex's for each. Looks like we are on our way to playing!
Awesome. You got a board, and all that? We converted our spare room in to a sort of study/hobby room. It's so much less hassle than needing to constantly set it up/take it down
Well I can only talk about Tau and Space Marines. I love assembling and painting Tau. Really its fun for me. Despite Loving My Templars too, I don't have that much fun painting them. don't know why. My advice is to choose the army you like the fluff best. For Example, I like armies with no psykers. I like fantasy but nobody in my area plays. Would love to make a wood elf army.
Haha aye, that's what we are planning to do also. Make a game room. I have always loved the Space Wolves, so I will probably go with them. I believe the Wife is going with the Tau. I plan on getting the Dwarves for Warhammer Fantasy
Remember to have lots of buildings to hide in, then. I've heard Tau loves to kill people from the other side of the gameboard.
