GW stores tend to be the less preferable option. No discounted prices, often small, usually one staff member and they disallow non-GW parts on your models. My local GW store isn't bad, but I've been to several where it's highly questionable if the manager had ever even played the games. I'd say a private store which is nearby is great news
Aye, i'm pretty excited. Not only that, but I am also getting my wife into Tabletop, and games in general. She loves the Tau lol so it looks like we are both building armies lol.
That makes playing a hell of a lot easier, and a hell of a lot more expensive My other half got in to playing, she isn't as in to the lore as I am, but she enjoys the hobby and gaming at least. She plays as Chaos, though, not really very girly, even as Emperor's Children. Haha.
Haha that's awesome bro, shes the same. Not super into the Lore, but is loving the hobby and game side. We will see what happens Friday, might walk out with books and miniatures haha.
I'd like if my girlfriend tried the TT but she probably won't haha she's partial to the Eldar since I've started talking about them more. Went to the store I'm usually close to. Had to put a deposit down on an apartment and felt like picking some 40k stuff up so I drove the hour and a half. Got some Lamenters Yellow and some Macragge Blue spray paint. Set up my first game of Apocalypse too. I'll have to team up with someone but we're going against Grey Knights, and there's an Imperial Knight in there. Needless to say, my Raven Guard army won't put up much of a fight.
It won't be for a month so I'll probably forget to check back in haha I'm excited to try this yellow primer I got. Should really speed up the Imperial Fist and Eldar painting.
It's a yellow primer spray from The Armor Painter. It goes on thicker than I expected so I have an Eldar head to clean up later. The terminators are nice and yellow though. Tried to get it a little lighter on the guardian heads just to give a better base for the yellow paint later. Sadly, doesn't look like they ship to Aus.
Can't ship sprays in Aus anyway, the mail service won't carry sprays. I buy my from the local hardware store, just over a quarter the price of GW sprays and they're the exact right consistency. It sucks when they spray too thick, sometimes holding it further away can help with that.
