Thing is one of the nids psykers had a large blast attack that destroyed my crisis suits and the sw had blessing on the devastator team. That alone was gamebreaking for me along wih bad rolls. But one of the reasons I like Tau and BT is the lack of witches

Dark Eldar have no witches either, only wyches ^^

I can see how it is a complete disadvantage now with a whole psyker phase now.
However, I play World Eaters and never cared for Psykers, so hey.
Nevertheless, Crisis suits are the Core of any Tau Army (even if you don't focus on them)
I have played a full Crisis army a few editions back and it was glorious!

Also, I may be not new to the tabletop, but I started with a new army!
So here: I bought this two classic boxes for the first time!
(I couldn't even get a complete picture of both boxes)

I've puchased the Dark Vengeance kit earlier this year, along with a standard tactic squad and some Forgeworld Night Lord helmets.

So far i've only primed most, I find it very difficult to paint them. I cannot get my straight-edged and mathematical head around the art of painting. I just plain suck at it, those DV resin-casts are sooooo detailed, and set the bar to high for myself resulting in me being frustrated and putting it aside...

I guess I'll just have to take the time and get tutored in the shop

Dark Vengeance has some goo Chaos pieces. Mine are painted pretty badly but they were my first Chaos.

My Raven Guard vanguard veterans are closer to being mostly finished. Even if they are a bit of a point sink, I like them a lot.

My dark vengeance set is just adding some dust up. Have lots of Fire warriors and kroot to assemble. And still need a hammerhead a riptide a crisis suit commander and 3 broadsides. And maybe 3 more crisis suits. lots of money to spent.

Well I will have to get another one for my Dark Angels

While the Tacticals look rather crappy, the of the box is pretty ace

I will probably get myself a Box of Terminators or a Niphelimhunter (or however they are called in english) after that

I really want to get into the tabletop side of 40k. The problem is, I can't find anyone/groups in my area that play, so I don't have the slightest of where to start.
