necrons and ig could make good pve
Call me a heretic, but this game should have no subfactions to begin with. Having so many different subfactions on a single planet is just plain retarded.
If BE wanted to make a good Battlefield 40K game, there should be just a bunch of different maps on different planets, maybe even different time periods. Then we could have pretty much any faction from the universe in game. We could have the IG paired against Tyranids, Spess Muhreens against Orks or whatever. The beauty of it is that anything could be easily balanced, just by pitting the right factions against each other, or by giving a definite adventage to one side by map design.
Currently, adding new races should be avoided, and it is the least concern, while the game is the bastard child of battlefield/front, planetside, with some MMO elements.
We cannot have terminators (they are behind corner!), a working melee system nor decent cosmetics... Can you imagine new races?
I'd honestly prefer that the factions all get a rework. Replace LSM with IG, CSM replaced with Traitor Guard, Orks and Eldar remain the same but have mechanics reworked so better reflect the Factions. At least then we'd really feel like what our current characters act like. I mean, who ever heard of Space Marines dying by their hundreds for a single point? It's Lore-breaking in so many ways and sets many Space Marine players up with this "I'M INVINCIBLE!!!" mindset due to all the bolter-porn Lore surrounding them.
The more I think and talk about it, the more I realize I just want a better game.
sisters of battle would be nice and would add more female characters to the current sausage fest and wouldnt need any new weapons making for them, so my vote would be to them first, and dark eldar second.
How would you justify a LSM vs SOB match though?
NIDS i whant to play with nids. Thats the faction i always end up playing on TT anyway.
GA: ravener burrowing themself to surprise attack a enemi, genestealer can attack 2 time per click and stagering the enemies. elite lictor become invisible.
tact: termagant/hormagaunt.elite: tyrant guard why not would be fun to play.
assault: gargoyles. elite harpy Both would act like the hawk.
heavy: hive guard/pyrovore elite: warrior big gun check, deadly claw check, salt would flow check
support: Zoanthropes/Venomthropes. Elite : doom of malan'tai. fucking up the sorc and warlock warp capacity but buffing your troup
Tank: Mothar facking carnifex yeah big ass brute.
Respawner: mycetic spore down right support from the air except that its spawn and forget. OR tervigon (more likely)
heavy vehicule : trygon why because fuck you twat who need gun when you can destroy door in melee
Really there's a lot to go throught. The dev could even use the execution to heal your character. No respawn time, no down time.
Sure there are many thing that will be need to make nids fun but troup are not the issue with them
Tyranid are a pve faction in the game, at the good old days when talking about a world playable map was still possible, they were supposed to attack the faction with most territory and thus avoiding a large status quo if a faction was more played than an other.
