    Xenos in Arkhona
    Let it be Known or Unknown Xenos, what if bE got permission to play around with the option "Other Xenos"
    Say bE were allowed to create a native Xenos race on Arkhona. Or one that comes with low-tier tech ships and do small raids on Arkhona. I mean as NPC's, but not taken as far as the Tyranids. Such as Scavengers and Raiders.
    We've seen tons of different Xenos in concept art and the possibilities are Endless really. Let it be Ant like cyborgs, Giant tank-like turtle humanoids or The Greatest Heresy - a AI force (Exterminatus?) 1000.jpg latest.jpg

    Imagine they got green light for implementing the Rak'gol (2nd Picture, Right side). They seem quite the threat. Perhaps too much of a threat. Perhaps the Stryxis could be a option aswell. Shady merchants which has a equal chance of enslaving you as to selling valuable items. They could go like "What are you buying? Stranger."

    Think getting a mission where it played a Distress call like (Pasted here from WH40K Wikia) "...They're coming through the walls...we've lost the enginarium and the port gun deck...urgent assistance requi...the...need heavier arms...the...[screeching sounds interlaced with rapid shotcannon fire]...falling back! God Emperor save me…broken thr..." and you need to explore what has caused this. A creepy mission in the underground or a crashed shuttle.

    All in all, I'd like for bE to play around abit with never-seen-before Xenos or specially the Rak'gol. One of the proplems I can think of is the Location of the Xenos had to be right. Say Rak'gol operates in the other side of the galaxy, it would make little sence they pop-up at Arkhona.

    Maybe Blood Angles could get revenge on Megaarachnids? They could've escaped..

  2. The Megaarachnids and the Tyranids seem way to similar, and I have to say having some small space battles, little raids and other such things would be really fun if we got to fight other species then just the major 8 races.

    Yeah, sounds like a good amount of fun.

    Seeing as though we don't know much about Arkhona yet, I can see this being lore-wise accurate, as long as the new xeno species seems like it could be from the environment (if it's from a desert region, it should be scaly/water retention based and etc.) and doesn't pose too much of challenge to the normal gameplay.

    Definitely something for post-launch though, they've got enough on their plate already as is.

    If good Implemented, i Approve.
  5. Everything that makes Arkhona a more lively planet is good in my books. Even though the only thing I want, is PvP, it is still much more fun to battle over a real Planet instead of a barren wasteland, if you know what I mean.

    Yep, only reason I didn't include them was because they seemed to be too small of a force. They mostly operate as Mercs. Which mostly is employed by the Tau.
    They have a never ending hatred for the Imperium though. Potential!

    Please don't be talking about that movie Hahaha!

    Also yeah, you have a good point. It could be good with a very living Arkhona, abit more worth fighting for.

    You got some good points aswell, it wouldn't pose a Major Threat or anything, just scavenging and small raid groups of Xenos could be nice, even more if they fit the environment.
    Considering you say Post-launch, I kinda agree in a sad way. If they aren't sure Terminators will make it 'till pre-launch, I doubt Xenos like this will.

    Oooh, so many possibilities...

    * Demiurg: the new space-dwarfs!

    * Drugh: huge earthworms that are psykers!

    * Enoulians: sneaky mercenaries native to the Calixis-Sector. They HATE the Imperium.

    * Hrud: They come from the shadows. Darkness, poison and time are their weapons...

    * Loxatl: reptilian, quadriped mercenaries, often found fighting for Chaos

    * Saruthi: from the Eisenhorn-Trilogy. the war on Arkhona could be about conquering their dimensional technology

    * Slaugth: powerful bio-technology and they LOVE eating people

    * Thyrrus: hard to beat in combat, because their tactics are literally indecipherable

    * Umbra: weaponized shadows!

    If memory serves, just about every known and native species was exterminated by the Great Crusade Era legiones. If anything were left, they got no med by Nids. Now, say they were raider fleets come to scavenge from the dead and dying in the wars for Arkhona? I could get behind it.

    Ah, very true. No way there could've been any left after the Crusade and surely Tyranids would've devoured the rest.

    As said possibilities are limitless. All depends on what would fit and what could introduce something else than a swarm like faction. It's a bit like Spore... :D In some way..

    If bE were not to create new Xenos to arrive at Arkhona, my best bet would be Rak'Gol. They seem like they're a real threat. Just want to exterminate everything. Everything.
