After a session fo Rogue Trader in which we had this occurance, I thought it would be nice if we could stand on top of transport vehicles, even when they move (Orks will cling to them, Marines of both couleur have magboots, honestly not shure about how Eldar would do it, but they are smart and would figure something out). Maybe let the people fall off when the vehicle uses afterburner. It would look heroical (and might acutally be useful from time to time) but of course it is hazardous as hell, since they would stand on a silver plate, so it would be a small spot between heroical and stupid/insane. If you want to know why that would be epic, figure an ex-navy dude yell orders and swing a powersword from the top of a rhino while ship armsmen and imperial soldiers (and some radiation-mutants who are ok) around the vehicle are purging genestealers and the rhino driver (who is somewhat literal minded) goes out of his way to perform roadkills. All that in the bowels of a ship. Playing that was soooo much fun.
You can ride on top of transports. You just gotta figure out how to get up there first. I love riding on top of ordinance on fortress maps on the initial assault. Just garb a jump and start spamming T.
Yeah, and getting up is the problem, I never end up there in a situation where I would even remotely like to stay. But since you managed it: are you able to stay on top while the thing moves?
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8aLxJvv29s&t only really jpa can do it without specific positioning and they don't get much out of it but yeah you can stay on.
Yup. You can ride around for quie a while up there. Problem is getting there and bugs. Sometimes the game freaks out and slingshots a vehicle backwards when you are on top.
I ended up on an Ork tank for a good few minutes until my Team blew it up, and then the driver proceeded to turbo it off a cliff. Was very fun.
