So watching forums month after month a lot of threads posted are about "faction" op plz nerf or emperor damn it this weapon is op."you get my drift" so I was thinking why don't we create a new forum section that houses these complaints that way it stays off general and faction forums. It would reduce the ammount people have to see when they join general or faction, while if they want to say something then go to that section. Also this would reduce flame posts mods have to lock because things get out of hand too often. Thoughts? Also if this gets hostile I request lock it's just a suggestion.
We have that already. Its called the general forum. And the devs dont care, judging from the unfinished state of orks. inferior version of power fist. bunny hops of 2 inches when we swing, instead of ice skating halfway across the map. bugged weapons braced or no, hitting invisible walls and suiciding us. going to walk mode every time our eleveation changes half an inch. magically hanging in the air 2 seconds over a rail, giving the enemy plenty of time to kill us. vehicles that handle like austin powers trams, missing most of our promised skins from early access... nobody would use it, everyone would continue to use general. And honestly? Its the only things anyone reads anymore, since the rest is a disapointing train wreck.
I agree it's a train wreck but throw it on the top section or link it something to keep it out of general. We all know it's a cluster anyways but could help ."could" Also I agree eldar and orks need more love but that's a diffrent topic
NO If you make a separate section for "Complaints" and then shove all negative threads into that section you are effectively censoring them. By isolating any negative threads it's the first step to your game tying the proverbial noose around its neck. As soon as I see something like that I'm gone, I don't give a hot steamy pile of dog crap how good the game gets in the future. I won't support a game where complaints are put into a dark corner where nobody will see them. We need people to see the bad side of this game, the imbalanced side, the Devs need to see it as well. That section will cause the Devs to effectively become blind to all complaints. As they say, the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. As developers they have to admit directly that there are problems with their game so they can then fix them. Our job as players is to voice our concerns and to let them know about issues with the game so they can fix them.
Well, negative threads are the consequence, not the reason. You wouldn't see quite as much of them if there wasn't quite as much reasons for them to exist. I'm not talking about nerf or buff threads though, that we will always have. But those about performance, server or game mechanics reflect real difficulties.
You mean as Alpha Testers? I fully agree. Alpha or even Beta testers need to give as much feedback as possible to provide a To-do list for the developers to fix before they launch the... wait a second!
All dank memes aside, we still need to properly convey our thoughts whether they be positive or negative in an open forum. I understand that they bit off a bit too much to chew when they were flinging ideas around. Yet the past is the past and we need to work with them the best we can to make this game, a lobby shooter, the best it can be. We are doing our part, we are making issues known which in my case would be the current meta. They just need to meet us half way, respond to "Complaint" threads with an open mind and a twinkle in their eye. They have not done that, I don't think they plan to do that, that would be the most efficient way but they seem to be taking a page out of a big developers book. That specific page that says, "Ignore the screaming masses, get money". Sadly, they are not a large development company, they have to walk lightly. It's one thing to bomb on any old shooter, it's another to bomb on a 40k shooter. This can sink them for practically every future game they make. I know if they don't make some headway soon-ish, I wouldn't play another one of their games.
We do have a dedicated forum section for exclusively complaining for a very long time. Please check out this subforum to explore official QQ section.
