It's really kinda amusing how outraged certain players are by the idea of having to play with the same weapons as everyone else. Raptors and TA's range at a win-rate of 48.41 and 48.52. Traitors sit at 51.97. You can make up statistics about 'billions of kills' but don't forget about the real numbers we have been provided. Honestly...melee is 90% fine. Banshees are underpowered, Traitor-Assaults are niche, both suffering from similar problems. I wouldn't take melee into every fight, I would not want to face a player who gives everything to win... But for casual combat, which is most of the gameplay, melee is perfectly fine, effective and often easier to play than ranged. My main problem is the risk/reward-scale. IMO melee is too easy to play but doesn't really pay to play really well. There is no skill involved whatsoever, neither positively, nor negatively. As for the NCS...fuck that thing. It is a vertical upgrade over all competitors, it encourages quick-attack-spamming like no other weapon, it generates visual noise and it behaves inconsistently. This change will effectively remove the weapon from the game. It will hurt the Traitor-Assault, which is unfortunate because they don't deserve it, but they still won't do significantly worse than GA's, coming from someone who likes Industrial Plasma more than Shields. But, primarily, it will hurt the Raptor and bring them on-par again with the other jump-classes. Thats a good thing.
Great hypothesis. Now reinforce that concept by Behavior showing us the numbers and statistics to back up that theory. Bolter Total kills NCS total kills All other melee weapons combined(except for NCS) vs Bolter total kills. Tac Total kills Raptor Total kills Let's see the actual cold, hard numbers utterly destroy your hypothesis. NCS is one of the ONLY competitive melee weapons in game when compared to the Bolter by examining total overall kills. Though, as we all know, the Bolter total kills will outpace the NCS total by light years. So the theory that the NCS is OP will be flatly refuted by the numbers when we see what total shit all melee weapons are in comparison to the Bolter. @jbregg show us the numbers that warrant this nerf to 3/4 of all potential Chaos melee builds.

I felt guilty using the NCS that's how bullshit that weapon is. It's no longer in any loadouts due to how much cheese it brings. If you need that to prop up your playstyle then you better et used to mark of nurgle.

Complaining about bolter while complaining NCS gets a nerf and not realizing bolter is getting nerfed as well? Someone even pointed you towards bolter nerf and you outright ignored it in your next post. Also mods like the drum mag you complained about at least twice for example got nerfed.

I'm tired of Behavior catering to ranged game play, blatantly catering to ranged fanbois and destroying the melee portion of this game as they done since late Beta until present day. You do realize there are more melee archetypes in EC than there are ranged, yet BHVR has blatantly and shameless catered to ranged fanbois for the last 2.5 years. Enough! Just bring the numbers of NCS total kills compared to Bolter total kills and stop your personal attacks. You know you have nothing of substance to say when you resort to attacking someone personally.
