Nerf predictions? Or what teh hell

    Very odd, but could explain something I saw yesterday, in which case the problem may also connect to bad vehicle physics glitches. and after the number of flying across the map Rhinos I have seen I could believe that. though that means as part of the change to eldar tanks and transports those physics should get another look at them as well

    The vehicle physics in this game allow ALL vehicles to roadkill with just a tiny nudge, it's just more glaringly obvious for the Eldar vehicles because of how much more mobile they are, which is why I find the road map goal of "nerf Eldar roadkill" to be absolutely hilarious. This shit is a game wide problem, not faction specific. But I guess it's easier to cherry pick and nerf the hell out of something so it's less of a problem than sort out the vehicle momentum physics so it doesn't become a problem again in future.

    You gotta understand: If LSM whiners (not all LSM, fortunately) see something like "Vehicle roadkill adressed: Rhinos and Wave Serpents don't roadkill anymore when going at 1m/hour", they'll start bitching about how UP the Rhino is, how this mechanic was lore-justified, how obviously biased towards the Eldar the devs are, how they don't have tools to do stuff, and how useless the boltgun is. Apo is UP too.

    Then if I may, if they nerf only the wave serpents then a large number of Eldar only players will whine that all their tools no one else has are useless and how they cant defend their vehicles without op roadkills. This stuff goes both ways. playing all four factions I can safely say they ALL seem to whine just as much and for just as many justified or unjustified reasons. saying LSM whiners will bitch about it doesnt make them wrong or right. and treating it like the issue is only a faction who has all they need whining only makes your side seem uninformed and unwilling to talk it out fairly. Truth be told? All the factions need work. just as eldar get unique to them classes so too should the other three get some. presently all factions but Space marines get truly unique classes of weapon. Eldar need some love in weapon variety, Orks need the melee reworks to come asap etc. Every faction is OP in some places and UP in others in ways that need work, however when you talk of another faction as just whining then you devalue your sides arguments.

    Now say you are right and the LSM do say their vehicles are too weak post change to this, then you take it from there, that isnt a reason to not fix, but if you see in game that LSM can't make use of their vehicles well anymore then you will make more changes later.

    Personally, I can foresee the future. I foresee nerfs, and complaints about those nerfs.

    You are mislead, dear.

    I wasn't saying ALL LSM are whiners (please notice the little "not all LSM, fortunately") because I do know a decent number a very good LSM players, with whom it is absolutely pleasant to talk about balance and find compromises.

    I do not deny either that every other faction has their toll of crybabies. Hell, I've even been one at some point.
    But anyway, the comment up there was half a joke, half a sad confession. Meaning that if I believed in what I wrote, it wouldn't be a problem anyway. Eldar and LSM whiners may cry all they want, there are things that need to be and will be addressed, like the roadkill.

    You seem to think that I am just a random shitposter. I kindly ask you to reconsider.
    I do believe that I am among the people that try to rely as much as possible on facts, numbers, stats, and overall balance across all factions. Although I do joke around about whiners... well, you'll find soon enough that they are everywhere :p

    First off, I'm sorry. I did not mean to come off as dismissing you as a Shitposter, though with a reread I see why it could come off that way, heh I have been up pretty late tonight and I did play a few bad matches before coming on. still that is no excuse to take it out on you with how I spoke and for that I apologize.

    And I do agree that yes the whiners will not like some things being addressed however I worry only because when a large group dismisses the grievance of another, it can come off bad to devs and lead to devs ignoring that group. For instance I do feel the speed and smaller hit box in exchange for lower hp etc on eldar is cool but I wonder if it works when Smart guns exist. heck on Orks the Smart Slugga feels better than a rifle if I fight eldar and that seems...off. However I worry that if a large group of eldar players only criticize the others as whiners then the devs wont listen to concerns like that.

    Smart weapons have auto-aim. Eldar's advantage is being hard to aim at. So of course the Smart Slugga's better - it hits more often.

    Well, I might sound extremely biased, but I REALLY want the smart pistols to just be removed from the game. I can understand some people use it, like it and even abuse it (I don't want to know what they are doing late at night with it), but I find these weapon absurd. Yet this is my opinion. They are somewhat "balanced" (thanks to lower damage), but grants autoaim. There are no stats, nothing that proves the thing is OP, let alone the fact it removes all skill requirement to use a "range" weapon. It remains my opinion that the guns shouldn't exist.
    I can understand people like them, and will bear with it if they keeps on existing. (but I really want them gone :p )

    Smart Pistols had a place during the heyday of JPA cheese when they were much tankier. Usually it went that when they started losing the RPS, they use their Jetpack to get out of jail and slam the opponent, turning the whole melee system on its head (hell, they do that even today but it only takes 1-2 hits to finish them off before they come down so you can whip the shot and still get them in the air). It was for that situation that you needed the smart pistol to shoot them reliably when they jetpacked up as manually aiming was just too slow to react before they came down to slam you.

    With the current balancing, Smart pistols lost their reason to exist and should go the way of the dodo.
