Actually, I'm basing it on what's happened to Dawn of War 1.

Also, I'm only doomsaying because I don't see another path for the game to take.

Expecting lore accuracy in EC when they cant even get decent gameplay right

  4. It's pretty dumb, they do realize that the thing that makes 40k intersing is that there really aren't any good guys in 40k, they're all awful and they all think the awful things they do are justified, this includes Chaos. I don't enjoy the hurr durr I'm evul and I know it cartoonish villains, though they exist in this universe, Black Library is full of nuanced dark grey morality and monstrous characters that think they're right.

That's what this game should be going for, though it's hardly unexpected when we couldn't even get the name Traitor changed to something people actually liked with vast, substantiated popular support. Regardless, I know CSM are supposed to be the villains(debatably), but can we not be so blunt about it? It's not the type of lore we want more of.

Anakin's not actually wrong. Good and evil are constructs of the mind, and it really does depend on your point of view what is good and what is evil.

It's just that no one would say, "From my point of view, the Jedi are evil," because the first part of that sentence makes it clear that the speaker fully recognizes that good and evil are points of view, then the second part of the same sentence is an absolute statement about the Jedi being evil. He shifts gears too fast.

If I were writing it, I'd've had Anakin avoid arguing with Obi-Wan in the middle of a fight.

I'd've also had Anakin win the fight by doing something smart.

Like using Force Push to shove Obi-Wan into the lava.

Or using telekinesis to use his lightsaber as a ranged weapon.

Or using telekinesis to tear Obi-Wan's body apart by pulling half of it in one direction and half of it in the other.

Or not having a fight above a river of lava.

Or using telekinesis to choke Obi-Wan to death.

Or using telekinesis to drop Obi-Wan off a cliff.

Or not fighting Obi-Wan in a lightsaber duel and instead blowing up his ship with my ship to leave him stranded in case the 5 minutes I spend blasting his position with starship weapons doesn't get the job done.

    Traitor actually makes perfect sense.

CSM committed treason against the Imperium. Thus they are traitors. Traitor marines.

Obviously CSM wouldn't call themselves traitors. But that doesn't matter. The Imperium sees them as traitors, so that's what they are, since only the Imperium's point of view is important.

It's been a while since I added it up. Are half the TTG's playable armies still Imperium loyalists?

Off-topic, but Anakin had to lose...
  8. Pouncey Pouncey Subordinate

    No he didn't.

It was a prequel, Obi-wan had to survive because he is in episode IV. And Anakin was not whole by the time A New Hope rolls around.
  10. Pouncey Pouncey Subordinate

No, see, my idea for changing the prequels is to turn them into good movies.
