IMO, Necrons had better not be a playable faction when/if they add them. So many races that are easier to implement as playable factions, and Necrons wouldn't really make sense. Also, more PvE would be fun, later game, when we have even more player factions and players.
Yeah I ain't seeing the Necrons as a playable race in the future, the gameplay would be really wierd, :s I hope to see 'em as an NPC faction though.
As cool as it would be to play Necrons I think it would make more sense to have them as a NPC faction.
What, what, what? How do playable Necrons "not make sense"? How would gameplay be weird? I mean come on, we will be able to play Orkz and depraved Chaos worshipers... Compared to that Necrons are absolutely playable.
They should replace Space marines as a faction, of course! As a playable Faction with lore of 4th codex and pariahs. Pharaohs and dynasies are not needed.
People are still just butthurt over the retcon and dont care about Necrons anymore. They can easily be implemented as playable if done right. (i personally think EVERY race should have some NPC's for PvE, like raid an imperial guard outpost and stuff, but only Tyranids are the MAIN NPC's, that youll see the most of. Necron warriors will be NPC's or F2P, but players will be immortals and crypteks and stuff like that, not sure how Wraiths and Spyders would work though) ...also we already have a Necron thread for arguing about them. In the end, its all up to what the dev's think is best.
Of course they should be a playable faction, it would be harder to balance them with their different types of units but that can be worked out simply enough. I love the necrons more so with the old fluff but still theyre literally Alien Egyptian Terminators... awesome
I feel like Tyranids really CAN'T be a playable faction, no matter how hard you try. Necrons could easily be a playable faction. I mean dag, their bi-pedal dudes (er, mostly) with two arms (mostly) that equip weapons and armor. Sounds like a race I could play, even if I didn't want to. They should make it in.
