I would totally be willing to pay to have some grots following me around carrying my stabby bits, even if they bring nothing to the table for combat.
well, technically a "non combat" pet is a vanity item....they dont do anything except follow you around anything that actually serves a purpose falls into the "companion"/"combat pet" category, wether its acting as an extra inventory, defense/attack or buff/debuff
Absolutely, and I wouldn't care which category they would end up in. That's a different thread altogether.
I think it's not a bad idea to add the Necrons in as PVE if you could play as them in some type of way. Like horde mode in Gears of War. You play against other players who are Space Marines, CSM, etc. and you aid the Necrons in over running their position by being a tomb spider, death mark, warrior, and other things you normally wouldn't be able to play as. Though to be honest I'd rather see them as a playable faction then something of a PVE.
I don't like the idea of seeing Necrons as pve, it just feels like they would be wasted on pve, if we only have dungeons, and no long storys to focus on the necrons then they are wasted. They are other choices that could fill in for pve, for example genestealer cult or that zombie plague thing. I understand some people saying they will grow bored of playing with tyranids but we can expand on them, like for example if people get bored of the hive tyrants then bring in the swarmlord.
Yea i was hoping for some tyranid necron random events. E.g Tyranid hive fleet has just rocks up to the planet and has begun descending the "player base" have to stop it. Or turns out this planet is a necron tomb world
